VIP Refund?

Now that you have suddenly, without no prior communication to the community, started giving out DLC cars for free will there be refunds available for VIP? Im asking this because one of the main incentives from VIP is the double CR on leveling up & this sudden change has made the CR bonus from VIP virtually useless. $20 seems like an awful lot for 5 cars and paintjobs to me and I feel like turn 10 pulled a fast one trying to cater to the casual racer, leaving hardcore player like me feeling boned.

Yea. I don’t mind having VIP but i want CR refund. I worked for the Bugatti Veryron SS and to see it Free grinds my gears. I also worked for the Shelby Cobra and that too is free. It makes me angry to see how they make cars that are expensive to work for free. I would like a CR refund because I worked very hard for the Bugatti and the Shelby Cobra. Thank you. The refund sum up to 1,980,000 CRs. Thank you Turn 10 and Continue to make the game great for all of us.

No offense but any amount of credits up to 10 million is basically peanuts to amass and shouldn’t take more than a few days. On the last CBH I made about 5 million credits in roughly 12H of driving really fast and quite high on the leaderboards.

Don’t think T10 owes anyone anything especially since you were already given a 50% discount on ALL cars some time ago and better payout overall.

Yeah I agree that CR are easy to get once you get going. But I play alot too. So for somebody that plays maybe 12 hours in a month, and paid for VIP, then I could see how that is frustrating.

Thanks for proving my point. Now ANY amount of CR is peanuts since you no longer have to pay for dlc cars, therefore making the 100% bonus cr payout for VIP completely useless. Had I known this was the case prior to purchasing VIP I would have used that $20 on car packs. The main reasoning behind purchasing VIP was for extra credits for future cars, not the 5 VIP exclusive cars (1 decent car) or the paintjobs (all advertising paintjobs really?)

Did I miss something? I’m VIP… and if the perks for VIP are available to everyone now… then YES, I want a refund. And to the post above me; are you crazy? I have every car in the game and I still feel “taken.” That is, if this is true? Turn 10… what’s the deal?

LOL no im not crazy. Not today anyway. I know what you mean. I havent been home to check on this but sounds like they are giving cars away?

DLC cars (purchased with real money from the marketplace) are now free one time (you no longer have to pay credits for them after you buy the dlc) - If you buy the car a second time you will have to pay the full credit price (no point)

Did you think this through? As far as I read on these forums, the update is this: IF you purchased DLC in the Marketplace with REAL LIFE money, you can get the corresponding car IN GAME for free but only ONCE

So, do tell me you actually tried getting a car IN GAME for FREE that you didn’t purchase with real money from the Marketplace and were able to buy/get the car IN GAME several times FOR FREE.

If that is the case, then indeed T10 has made a slight mistake.

Guess you didn’t read before posting or lack reading comprehension skills. Notice where I say DLC cars.

So yeah, I must be lacking something… Do explain since I think there is a misconception what is actually DLC and how this is integrated in games

I’ve got 14 million credits, own virtually every car in the game and a combined millions of credits worth of upgrades for them.

Money is not hard to come by in Forza 5. Some people don’t have as much time to invest and they also paid for the DLC packs. Let them have the cars, no big deal.

How many hours of gameplay ?

Doesn’t matter, has nothing to do with this thread. Stay on topic

Sure I agree, let them have the cars and allow VIP members who purchased VIP prior to this change receive a refund if they wish. I purchased VIP with the notion I would be spending the credits earned with it on future dlc cars, not car parts.

Why does it not matter? You are clearly ticked off about the fact that despite the 100% payout bonus for VIPs. Are you not making enough money in the game to compensate for the fact that this once T10 decided to hand out cars once for free to people that actually bought the cars with real life money. Let’s assume these people are not VIP so they have to put in double hours on some game-modes to gain the same amount of credits as VIP’s can.

So yes, it does matter how many hours. Even without playing 1 single minute on FM5, you could’ve had more than 7 million credits already from the Forza Rewards Program. What’s next, VIP members that never played Forza before starting to realize they want a refund for the 7 million credits because they couldn’t get it from the Rewards Program?

It is not at all unusual for products to go on sale, for additional items to be included, additional features, etc, etc, etc.

If you are feel that something you purchased a while back no longer appeals to you, feel free to contact the manufacturer directly. In this case, that would be Turn 10 at forzafb@microsoft.com
