I can’t see anywhere to view a player’s level when in the lobby. The only thing close to viewing someone’s player rank is while in a race where it displays their tier level - which doesn’t really reflect on their skill or progress - it just shows how many cars they have purchased.
Look at the laptimes. That is usually a pretty solid indicator. Not always tho. Driver level doesn’t tell anything about skill, just how much they have grinded around oval tracks. Fast driver go fast and that is the thing you should look between races.
He didn’t ask for laptimes, he asked for level, noone told that level tells anything about skills.
Just add someone to your friendlist and from the “my statistics” menu in your “achievements” menu you can compare your level with their level.
I’m lvl 1111 and i never grinded any of the ovals, to be honest i’ve never grinded any of the tracks i just played multiplayer after i rushed the career.
In Forza Horizon 3 there are player levels which is a good indicator of how well they’ve been playing. There’s nothing that shows this in 7 when in a lobby or in a race.
Although its not the quickest way of doing things, you could always check their profile and it’ll give you everything, driver level…cars owned…time played.
In Hoirzon 3 it is about XP and if you drive cleanly with lots of drifting etc you gained lots of XP and thus leveled up. I have no idea with Motorsport 7 is all about.
Players with high levels have a target on their back so I think that is why they no longer show it. Meaningless anyway. There are high levels that were good in 6 and some that were not. Lap time is a way better indicator of skill.

Its pretty easy to hit the max driver level (500) you don’t really have be really good or do a lot of grinding to get there I already gained it a couple of month ago and so far I have played the game a lot less then FM6.
500 is the max in game but if you look at your Forza 7 stats on your Xbox dashboard you can see your real level. It goes past 500.
So basically it’s just about racing and there’s nothing to aim for?
Correct. It’s only about the number of laps logged and nothing more. There’s no skill involved. The only requirement is a lot of play time. It’s a pretty meaningless stat overall and anything to shoot for would be for personal reasons.
As mentioned before, end of race lap times are generally the focus and are the only real gage of skill. This is especially so if the player uses cars that are generally not considered leaderboard cars.
Tbh as already stated level only indicates time played not skill.I am rank 1958 and truthfully I am not very good at the game I just played alot.All the best to all adi.
BTW it means nothing in H3 either. Seen awful Star level people. I’m 800 something and I’m much better at Motorsport than Horizon.
