There really isn’t a way of telling at what level a person is. Not saying that I have but I could’ve hit my driver level peak 10 times yet it could just read level 10 and my opponents would be none the wiser until we hit the track.
Driver level is no indication of how good someone is - just how much time they have spent playing Forza. The zeroing out is not intentional - it is a DISPLAY bug in the coding that was too messy for T10 fix without risking further damage to the games code.
I’m aware of driver level and skill. but I don’t think it would make any sense that someone didn’t get better over a long enough time line just by playing the game.
Some people just have no skill and others already think they are the best anyway, while others will just muck around (like those lovely individuals who wreck online race) - either way the driver level is not indicative of skill relative to others. What about those who are the best of the best genuinely? They can be low level and still run rings around 99.99% of players regardless of time or driver level. Either way driver level should not be used to assume how good or bad another driver is - their driving is the only thing you can use to assess their ability.
Even in COD, a high prestige level only means you have time invested in the game. I hit 5 or 6 level prestige in COD4 and I’m by no means a top player.
I reached 20th and reset the stats on MW3. too many folks too proud of their levels talk smack and look down on lesser ranked players, sad, now ime back to 11th prestige, meh…
Ime lvl 303 or so on Forza 4, and have put in many hours as well I admire those fellows who have reached way higher levels, that is an investment!
. i wouldn’t trade the hours on Forza for anything, one day i want to max the level, a worthy cause i think!
What prompted me to post this inquiry, a person joined my R2 lobby and chose a street Skyline for Nurburgring GP full 13 laps. I checked his driver level and gamer score and figured it should be high enough for him to have few R2 race cars. My lobby maybe strict but I still allow for street cars. For some drives they don’t pose much of a threat. Anyways I switched it to race cars only and he backed out after taking longer than a minute to search for a car. And if these types insist on racing I’ll just choose a lower class race car. But I guess it’s all about checking the lobby restrictions before you join.
Some people don’t do circuit races. Some people do drift and drag with those cars, and they do it enough to attain a decent level while having little knowledge of the circuit side of the game. Chances are that’s the best R2 car he had as far as handling goes.
