What do the Leader Boards not tell you? Is there a more in depth look into a players skill level? I’ve been playing this game for a while now and have gotten good. I realize that there is no skill match in this game. If there was races would be a lot better and finish closer.
Not really sure exactly what your asking, but I think I get the jist of it. The leaderboards only tell part of the story. Just because you can set a fast time, doesn’t mean your a good racer. There are some hot lappers who don’t do well in traffic. That said, I’ve raced many drivers from some of the big hot lap teams over the years, and almost all of them have been excellent racers as well.
I personally don’t pay much attention to the LB’s. I don’t like hot lapping, and really could care less. I have on occasion done it just for kicks, and usually can set a time in the top 1% pretty easily on most tracks and classes. That still doesn’t place me anywhere worth bragging about however.
I think a better test of your abilities would be to join one of the established leagues and get involved in the races there. Virtual Motorsports, TORA, XPLR, and others all offer high quality racing against some very talented drivers. Fair warning though, it can be a humbling experience. I thought I was pretty good at Nascar until my first series at VM!
You’re getting better on the Ovals, though, MAKO.
Yes, the real test is League Racing.
I race at some of those leagues you mentioned, and am happy to qualify in the 1st Lobby once in awhile to race against some of the best Forza racers in the game.
Although I’m #43 on the “Oval Leaderboards”, I’m not really that good in some of the Oval Classes.
@ KOGA MIYATA: You are welcome to try Virtual Motorsports for league racing.
There are fewer races now due to Forza 5 taking some of the Racers.
Look in the “Racers Lounge” for league racing.
