Is there a way to watch or challenge other peoples laps on the leaderboard? As far as I can tell, I can only challenge person whose time is one faster than mine. Thanks.
Press Y for leaderboard, scroll to whichever player you want to view or challenge and press A to choose/confirm.

If I set up a game to try a certain car on a certain track and then continue after the race is done by challenging the next fastest player, the leaderboard does not allow me to view others laps. Viewing laps can only be done within rivals section?
If you are referring to “viewing” the replay of other people’s hot lap, only way I know is through Main Screen-Rivals-Select Track-Y-Select Driver-View Replay.
Cannot view the replay upon offer of the Rivals AFTER completion of a race.
