V8 Supercar league is coming! Are you ready? (5 new tunes)

Hello everyone,

I just tuned and tested 5 V8 supercars in preparation for the upcoming V8 supercar league week starting later today. Buy these cars in the game and get these tunes to get ready for the league! The tunes can be found in-game if you search for my gamertag: Breyzipp.
(edit: I started with just 3 cars but I added the Nissan and a Mercedes-Benz as well)

The cars:
2015 Holden #22 Holden Racing Team VF Commodore
2015 Ford #17 Xbox Racing Ford Falcon FG X
2015 Volvo #33 Wilson Security Racing GRM S60
2015 Mercedes-Benz #4 Erebus Motorsport E63 AMG V8 Supercar
2015 Nissan #23 Nissan Motorsport Altima

Upgrades:
All 5 cars come with a stock PI of 785 so there is only 15 points of upgrades to use. I gave all 3 cars the racing brake upgrade, the rest is explained per car.

The Holden: (power)
Apart from the racing brakes, I only gave this car power and weight upgrades so it has the fastest straight line speed of all three cars.
tires front : 280/40R18 (default)
tires rear : 280/40R18 (default)
stats : 487 kW / 684 Nm / 1372 kg / 1,35 g

The Ford: (grip)
The Ford could just get away with that big rear tire upgrade next to the racing brake upgrade and end up at 800 PI.
tires front : 280/40R18 (default)
tires rear : 345/30R18
stats : 473 kW / 631 Nm / 1382 kg / 1,39 g

The Volvo: (all-round)
On the Volvo you can upgrade to smaller tires so that leaves some PI points left for power upgrades, making this the all-round car between the Fold and the Holden.
tires front : 295/40R18
tires rear : 295/40R18
stats : 497 kW / 678 Nm / 1377 kg / 1,37 g

The Mercedes-Benz: (grip)
The Mercedes-Benz is similar as the Ford in that aspect that all available PI points went to racing brakes and tires. Only the Mercedes-Benz has a lot of tire options available so I could balance out front & rear size better.
tires front : 300/35R18
tires rear : 310/35R18
stats : 470 kW / 645 Nm / 1377 kg / 1,38 g

The Nissan: (wet racing)
The Nissan is tuned especially for wet racing since those tracks seem to appear in the V8 league quite often. Available PI points went to racing brakes and a balance between grip and power.
tires front : 300/35R18
tires rear : 300/35R18
stats : 503 kW / 665 Nm / 1379 kg / 1,38 g
Tuning:

About all cars are tuned individually but still very similar to each other so the main differences in handling and power come mostly from the upgrades, not so much the tune. The Nissan with the wet tune is the exception.

I did 4 test laps with each car on Road Atlanta (full) after tuning and these are my fastest lap times with each :
1:27.519 - The Ford
1:28.128 - The Volvo
1:28.693 - The Holden
It makes sense the more grippy car is the fastest since the track has a lot of curves. But I also noticed in the Ford I barely came to shifting into 6th gear at the end of the long straight where as with the Holden and the Volvo I shifted into 6th gear a lot sooner. So the Ford is definitely behind on straight line speed. It all depends on the track which car is the fastest so get all three and download all three of my tunes (gamertag Breyzipp).

I’m out of credits in-game but if there is enough interest I might buy and tune the Nissan and one Mercedez-Benz as well. Reason I preferred Holden and Volvo is because those brands are harder to get towards maximum affinity level, there are plenty of ways to do it with Nissan and Mercedes-Benz. And the Ford I got as a wheelspin reward from levelling up.

From all 3 cars I like the Ford the most but that’s also a personal preference since I’m more a grip addict than a speed junky.

Give them a try, any feedback is much appreciated!

I forgot sunday means multiplayer league payday so I suddenly had some extra credits to buy the Nissan and a Mercedes-Benz as well.

I updated the above post to keep it all in 1 place. The Mercedes-Benz is another grip tune, the Nissan is a wet racing tune. Enjoy!

After some more extensive testing in the league itself, I like the Mercedes the most.

Racing with my Volvo tune! Love the new sound of the V8 cars as well.

Got a win with the Merc as well, my favorite of the tunes.
