Anyone want to test my tunes?

So first off, I’ve been playing Forza since FM2, I was heavily into drifting back then and setup my own cars. Around FM4 time frame I started getting into Rivals and wanting to be faster. I tried tuning my own cars and sucked at it, all I knew was drifting and that showed, everything I built was super loose and slow. Well I decided it’s time to start getting better at tuning and have been reading various threads on here gathering knowledge and trying to put together some decent tunes. I just don’t know how good they are compared to others out there. I have built a stock R814 GT3 Vette for a series that friends and I are running with each other, I also built a S800 #33 A-Class Mercedes GT car for the League that’s going on now through the 27th. I do pretty well in the Vette in our races and I ran the Mercedes all night last night in the league and only lost 2 races which were because I suck at brands hatch. If any of you would like to test them out, I appreciate any and all feedback. You should be able to find them by searching my GT which is the same as this username. Thanks in advance.

I’ll have a look. Might need to send me the numbers for the Mercedes as its a fair bit of credits… Which I’m starting to run light on.

It’s ummm pshycotic I thinks the word I’m looking for… Very strange handling. Don’t get me wrong it’s reasonably quick but how on earth you got it to oversteer and understeer at the same time is phenominal o.O never seen that behaviour in a front wheel drive before.

Ok good points after 15 laps at Silverstone GP it didn’t completely shred it’s tyres. It’s got sharp turn in and is superb on the brakes. It’s got good drive in 5th and 6th gear, plenty straight line speed for what you’re going to run and your aero is set up nicely for the higher speed handling.

Now for the not so good points. I’m not great with front wheel drive tuning so I’m not really sure what to change on the set up but.

It’s lighting up its fronts 1st to 4th which is really bad. It’s costing about 4 seconds per lap at Silverstone.
Mechanical grip on the front is inadequate and there’s a lot of understeer mid corner off the throttle. Good on entry but understeer a mid corner snap violently to oversteer on exit meaning there’s to real grip on the rear. There’s also massive understeer on the throttle 2,3,4th simply because there’s just no grip and the gear ratios are off.

I’m not sure how to go about tuning FWD but I’ll give it ago see if I can help you out improve it.

It’s OK, but it’s not there yet. Just my opinion.

Ok so I was talking about the #33 Mercedes A class BTCC car.

I’ve got a set up ready for it, build matches yours so it’s just the tune. Search for RBBTS in the description you’ll find it. Let me know how you get on. If you like it I’ll pm you the set up so you can have a look at what’s different from yours.

It’s not perfect, but it’s as good as is going to get after having been awake for 18 hours.

Lemme know.

Thanks for the feedback lol. Yea it definitely lights the tires up, I just trail brake in and as soon as I get down to speed im back to 50% throttle and slowly increase until its on exit and mash it open, seems to help keep the wheel spin down to a minimum, and as far as gears go i havent touched them and honestly have no idea how to go about it other then just tinkering and praying for the best. Ill check out yours when i get on tonight.

Kudos I can’t trail brake in front wheel drive… Just lock the fronts and slide off the track!

With gearing if it’s a tourqey motor final drive more to acceleration if it’s a high revving BHP motor go more towards speed. Gearing can be a royal pain to deal with… Get it right it’s an easy second a lap get it wrong and it can cost you 3 or more on a longer or tighter track. Gearing should be the last thing you worry about though and unless I’m setting up a drag car I’ll run a sport box instead of a race box.

But yeah the wheel spin is what was costing most of the time I think the rest was ok but the wheel spin was on the extreme side lol.

Take heart from the fact I could dri… Well wrestle it round a track and set respectable times with it, that doesn’t happen too often.

I ran yours for a bit and was liking it but it juat felt too tight to me so I decided to tweak with mine. 4 hours later and i think i put together a decent one, no more raging wheel spin and the gears are tweaked a bit but probably still off since Idk qhat im doing there. If anyone would like to give my new one a try its S800 GT LeagueV2, can just search my GT. Again, all feedback is welcome, really wanna get this tuning stuff figured out.

I’ll message you the numbers and you can loosen it up abit then. I’ll try your new one and let you know.

Besides being quite tight did you notice anything interms of lap times??? I’m really keen to know if it worked or not, how do you mean too tight… On turn in or exit?? Feedback a appreciated.

After looking at the numbers you sent me, I don’t think it downloaded right. When I looked at telemetry last night just to see if there was a difference in pressure and camber it was totally different from what you sent me. I am going to redownload and try it again just incase, I’ll let you know if that changes it.

Yeah please let me know if anything changes. Please

I can help, played it since Forza 1 on my old profile and I don’t have a problem spending money. I’m around all day today so if you need any help just add me

Ok, I’m clearly simple. I cannot figure out how to see your tunes.

When you’re in the sharefront you can type my name in creator, or you can specifically search the tune name, or you can just scroll through S class and you’ll eventually find it.
