V12 Dodge Dart overpowered

I enjoy playing the horizon series of games but I feel as though the v12 swapped Dodge Dart ruins my racing experience. The car is, in my opinion, far too overpowered compared to all of the other cars in the game. Every time some of my friends and I try to have a calm drag race, there’s always that one person the has to pull out their Dodge Dart a spoil the fun. If the Dodge Dart is going to be so powerful, it needs a car that is equally as competitive and I don’t think the 2017 ford gt or Ferrari 458 speciale and/or 488 are at all even close to as being powerful. Please for all that is mighty, make a car that can put an end to the Dodge Dart.

Welcome to the “anything your heart desires” world of Forza Engine Swapping. While I agree with you there is nothing going to be done about it.

It is so lame putting a exotic v12 in a muscle… SHAME SHAME SHAME. This swap is for those who cant propely tune and drive a v8 RWD drag car

But come on, the XP you get from “drifting” a straightaway is incredible, and that’s what FH3 is about. I assume anyway as I have no intention of getting that stupid creation.

Yeah agreed, a V12 has no place in a muscle car in my opinion. RB swaps in S13/14’s etc is one thing but some of the transplants are just plain ridiculous. Then again this is a racing title that encourages you to kill ones self by driving your 200+mph supercar off the side of a bridge! So in places I guess we have to accept ridiculous. I mean in what world does anything beat a fully modded GTR over a standing mile? Its time T10 caught up with the real world in that respect, 2000 bhp GTR’s ,R8’s and Gallardo’s are being built nowadays. At least they are by the rich MOFO’s out there anyway. For me FH3 is the only way I’ll ever build such a car. Unless my numbers come up anyway!

I think it’s great you can put a V12 into a Dogde. I wish you could also place a 4-rotor and an inline 6 there too.
The problem is that the V12 swap is literally overpowered. There should be no one correct answer. Here it is a V12+AWD. The game is not balanced.

I think the darts a great car, what confuses me is why cant we have a supercharged hemi in it? Maybe then no one would use the silly v12 for drag racing since its slower for this purpose …problem solved.

The worst thing about having to use the v12 in order to be competitive is the horrendous sound it makes, sounds like a billy goat on heat.

Dont get me wrong v12s are good they just have a place and it isnt drag racing.

I’m confused… Why does one car, in a game of 450 +/- cars ruin your gaming experience? Can’t you use the same car? If your friend’s Dart bothers you then why not buy your own Dart and compete? Or use another car that can compete. Or if they’re your friends, create a rule… No Dart. Or, since the Dart is never going to handle like a Centenario, do a roadrace against his Dart.

There has to be one car that is “the best” in an individual category. But it’s a game of endless variables and options. There are better and worse cars and there are better and worse drivers. But the most important fact is that it’s a game. Have fun with it. Don’t take it so serious.

Because the car is used to exploit the system, put me off drag racing in this game. Can turn up in an S2 car, and be beaten by a B class Dart/Mercury that finishes before I even set off.

Yeah same here, all teh drag races i see are with this car. I wish they made another or 2 more drag cars to compete with it.

In other news, water is wet!
In games like this there will ALWAYS be that one car that can beat everything. Just take the biggest engine you can and shove it in the lightest vehicle you can fit it in. Fully upgraded the dart has the best BHP/Ton, Therefore it’s the one everyone uses.

Not entirely true, i put the same v12 driveline in several lighter cars to try them out. The a9x torana is much lighter but still falls short by 30 mph with the same gear ratios etc…i dont realy make sense of it all and just put it down to bad programing .

Use the dart - ever heard the saying dont bring a knife to a gunfight?

Racing darts is insanely hard to get a low time, regardless of the fact they can beat your other car - can you build a dart to beat theirs? Thats the goal. Build a v12 full house dart and go try to get a better time, you will spend weeks in the gear ratios and practicing the perfect launch and still be 35,000 down the leader board with the exact same tune and set up…wheres the skill you all ask ?

Drag racing is a skill that involves more than the basic mentality of buying a fast car and driving it like a sledgehamer…
Drag racing has always been based on engineering a vehicle from parts of many other cars to create something faster than it ever was.

As much as i hate the whole concept of v12 drag racing with unbalanced class headstarts over a full mile its actually amazingly addictive to push your dart into the low 19 second bracket…so much more satisfying than trying to race a track online only to be bumped off by inexperienced drivers.

If you immerse yourself into tuning and launching your own dart to get a top 100 time you will have little spare time to bicker about the others using them.

On a separate note is there any such car that out steers and out handles all the rest on tight circuits? If so what does everyone do…? Try and ban it to keep it fair or do they also buy one?

I see… Perhaps you need just enough weight to keep the wheels from spinning at launch but no more & the Dart is closest to that perfect weight. Also I think the Darts aerodynamics are better for high speed, but I’m just eye balling it. It would be nice to have a coefficient of drag statistic in the simulation data. cough

And yes there is a car that seems to outperform all others, at least in D class its the Alpha Giulia. If you want to get into the top 100 times you’ll be wanting one.

I have a solution that is even more effective than putting a v12 in a dart.
Don’t allow people to use them and make your own lobbies. Control who is in your game. I suppose in a way, that’s the closest you can get to a user created lobby.

Hurst Hemi Dart, pretty much the baddest stock drag car ever made. If it was lame in the game at going in a straight line quick, that would be the disappointment. V12 swap or not, you don’t see them at the top of the rival boards.
