I’ve been playing Forza for a while now, 3 & 4 on XBOX 360, 5 & now 6 on XBOX ONE.
I have, however, done almost no tuning, but it is a skill i wish to learn more about.
Upgrades obviously are the first step of most tunes, but my question is this… What upgrades are a waste of time & PI index value. I realize all upgrades will increase your PI index but what are the crucial ones when it comes to performance & tuning?
This will be my first step on the learning path hahahahaha
For the most part, transmission upgrades (besides diff and driveline) are a waste, as is the flywheel. Most builds don’t use a rollcage either, but a select few do. Unless your car has a terribly stretched out or terribly short transmission, stick to tires, weight, and power depending on what kind of car you want to build.
I usually start with races-diff, suspension, and forza aero.
I run mostly lower classes. Engine swaps are king. The 5.7, 1.6, 3.7 and 3.2 with centerfugl super charger.
See transmission options. Normally street tranny is the best bet. But if the Sport is cheap it might be an option for certain tracks.
Weight reduction is better than power or tires in most case. Even if you get worst stats.
At this point it’s mix and match.
Tires width is cheap than compound.
Races brakes don’t seam to be worth the pi cost all of the time.
Roll cages depends on the car and the track.
Cams, clutch, flywheel are generally losers.
I prefer power that also loses weight over straight power
I finish most builds with rims/size driveline.
Rules are meant to be broken. I ran a few top times with cars that went completely against everything I said. But in general, this is a good starting point.
