Forza Motorsport hasn’t really changed the FM5 old Upgraded brake models apart from giving Race Brakes some unevenly drilled holes. Better yet, they’re somehow not paintable while Stock parts are. That’s why I think FM should start using brake models from other cars for Upgrades, think of Audi or Porsche brakes on other VWAG cars, or R35 GT-R brakes on a Nissan Pulsar. Even if their performance won’t be identical to those particular brakes on other cars, they will look much better than what we currently have. Sometimes I build my cars not just around performance but also looks, and since Race brakes are considerably too big on many cars I go with Sports parts which aren’t as effective. If I could apply Audi RS4 B7 and B9 brakes on an RS4 B5 I wouldn’t even be thinking about it, as I’d simply choose whichever ones are needed to make my car perform better in the class I’m building it for. And for the Street brakes they could just change the discs and really nothing else. In the end, we should have more than 3 options of Upgraded brakes, but this requires a new Upgrade system which should’ve been delivered for this game at launch.
