Upgrade Progression

I’m sorry for the bad joke. It wasn’t exactly meant to be in mockery, but in jest. Your opinion is very accurate as well, but I can see both sides of the coin. There are some cars that I do not agree with the pricing of, but I also didn’t agree with how extreme they were in previous games. It’s a balance that Turn 10 has yet to master, and one of my biggest gripes. Make things reasonable, but not out of a player’s control.

No. I don’t.

You mean now that you’ve succeeded in making me feel attacked and stupid.

Thanks. Appreciate the kindness and generosity.

but seriously, the updated progression chain means instead of one car able to be absolutely tested to whatever my brain decides to do with it, i have 17 cars within range of doing just that. i’m much happier now

So trying to have a discussion is grounds for insults?

Classy.

Sorry you feel attacked, my comment was meant to be based on the overall feelings of the community and not a single individual.

Needless to say, not everyone reads an entire thread before commenting.

Upgrade system is interesting, I’m glad basic handling components have been moved to an earlier unlock.

But the grind is almost the same, because carpoints are the same as before. Now you get weight reduction earlier, but cannot afford it. If you want a C-Class car in A-Class it’s the same amount of time.

Motorfest isnt that bad but its nowhere near Horizon. The presentation of the game is great, in some aspects better than Horizon but the physics are bad and so is the tuning. I played during the free trial and bought one month of Ubisoft+ to finish out the playlist races. I didnt do any of the PR stuff. The story is a bit much, way more talking than the Horizon stories lol and you basically race rented cars for 75% of the career.

I saw this and realized thats why they didnt have a problem just allowing people to port their garages from crew 2. Because it doesnt actually affect the game itself. I would have honestly given it a chance if I didnt know how the Crew 2 drives and knew that Motorfest was just slightly tweaked physics with a bit more wonkyness than the crew 2 had. That series seems to be on a backslide in terms of driving. Real shame.

I also bought Crew 2 for 5 bucks and played it for 5 minutes. Motorfest is the first game they let you reassign your buttons. There is no way i’d have my shifters at LB and RB. Already used to the Forza shift layout. Old habits, die hard.

I miss out on trail braking, but I am far more accurate with the throttle on analogue stick than trigger (same with brake).
Shifting is better on bumpers than X/A because the clutch and handbrake live there.

Because like I have said several times to you and others in the FH5 section about TC2…

It is not trying to compete with FH on that front.

People expecting complex and semi-realistic physics in a game with that many different types of vehicles are getting it completely wrong, and I don’t understand why some people seem to sound so pleased with themselves for disliking a game/franchise that isn’t even that critically acclaimed and has never been held on the same level as FH.

X Qs me?
Are you saying you have throttle and brake on the Y axis of the right thumbstick?

They need to scrap the upgrade system and go back to what worked for 7 other games. I just want to race with friends and build cars. I don’t want to have to grind like crazy to be able to even purchase upgrades. The currency should not be different either. Like all other Forza Motorsport games you earn credits from racing or drifting etc. and then use those credits to buy and upgrade vehicles. This is so freaking broken and they went down the path the Warzone did with having to grind away while you could just be having fun. I. Real life if you have the money to upgrade a car you don’t get stopped by the company selling you parts saying we’ll have you driven the car and leveled it up so you can purchase this air filter? No, if you want to LS swap your car you buy and LS and drop it in with supporting mods. Bring back the old upgrade system and get rid of this nonsense

I’m nearly positive you’ve never earned credits for drifting.

Yes

Dear god

Yeah, but he said you earn credits for drifting in all other forzas to buy upgrades.
Only Forza I havent played is 1 and I’ve never gotten a Cr for getting drift skill.
Unless they’re actually given out in FH5 with the little vague popups that show your cr and xp gain after exiting a race now. If thats the case I have never noticed.

There needs to be a faster way to earn CP
