Update 8.0

It all sounds good on paper, but then…so did everything they said ahead of the game’s launch back in October. I’ll save my celebrating until I see that they’ve actually delivered on their promises.

I can’t wait to botch my tire strategy on my first endurance race and lose horribly!

That.

The descriptions of what they want to do with FRR and the AI are not filling me with hope that things will be sorted anytime in the next year, if ever. And there’s also the fact that the biggest thing they have to say about anything remotely related to single-player is the breaking up of the Forza GT division. There has to be greater emphasis placed on single-player features and expansions. Simply adding new tracks and cars and telling people to hit up Free Play won’t cut it anymore.

Yup all seems MP GAAS focused. Very disappointing, unless the endurance is coming to SP. At this point I could care less about MP, it’s done and nothing announced here will resurrect it .

Yes it is, they plop down products that are shells of games that you have to pay extra in the form of DLC’s, Content that SHOULD be the game is now a paid extra and then you pay your monthly subscription on top of that!

If GP were not profitable Microsoft would not continue to run with it

I sure hope this new content comes to single player too.

It would be great to have endurance racing and multi class events in the ‘career’ mode.

This has to come with AI fixes and better options for weather and tyre wear though

Resurrect for you maybe… but lobbies are still filling up fine. Regardless of feelings.

I can’t wait to be there to watch that!:rofl::rofl: But I’m usually back there where I can see stuff like that anyway!:+1::thinking::popcorn::beer::hotdog:

LMH & LMDh Hypercars are the top class of endurance racing.

What’s the difference between LMH & LMDh Hypercars?

Well I’m hopeful with regard that endurance and multi-class will be coming to single player. Specifically because this is said about upcoming AI changes:

Future updates will tweak additional areas to support better AI behaviors related to slowing down after being passed by the player, when the player is alongside AI cars, and passing improvements in multi-class and endurance races.

As far as I recall, there are no AI in multiplayer. So if they are fixing AI for these types of race events, then it’s gotta be single player?

The really big unknown is whether we’ll see this added as a type of race in the Free Play options, in addition to Circuit and Timed. Or whether these modes may appear in the rotating monthly Cup events only (and get deleted after).

Best situation for me is both adding to Free Play, and Cup events which remain permanently in-game.

see how fine they fill up when match making is enabled. They’re full because that’s all they do, throw everyone in to filll a lobby up

The problem for GamePass is the growth has plateaued. Microsoft is probably going to raise the prices again and cause some negative growth.

Probably and they will blame it on the War in Ukraine along with hostilities in the Middle East.

If they in fact have 35 million subscribers to GP that’s a good chunk of money flowing in each month, only 20 years before they recoup the cost of the Activision Blizzard acquisition and a few more for Bethesda.

Maybe they can hedge all bets on Playground games with the next installment of Forza Horizon because FH5 is killing it even after this long!

I already use Distance instead of Seconds and when they are around 6meters you know that you should stay on your line.

The GT3 is FIA’s most successful customer racing class.

Why it was successful since it began in 2005.
