Not only is the audio bugged in the BMW multiclass event (voted on the bug report), the tune on the 1975 BMW#25 3.0 CSL keeps resetting to the standard BoP tune when joining a lobby. This car just happens to be the one I thought it would be nice to level in these events… (Is this the case for other cars too?)
The groupings in the BMW multiclass series do feel fun, maybe the GT cars (group #3) are a bit close to the GTX cars (group #2) (which include a Chevy, because that’s how you spell BMW), but it works out on most circuits.
If this series wasn’t so bugged I would’ve genuinely enjoyed it, but this is just very hard to sit through to get a reward car.
Ow and the start on Daytone for this series was standing, still a problem with a clean getaway. Should’ve been a rolling start.
The current BMW Challenge multi-class series in Featured Multiplayer is essentially setup for 8 classes since everything A-class & under is allowed in 1 group.
Such a huge potential speed differential across groups seems dicey.
Plus, during some of the races I did in an A-class BMW, I had no competition because the other drivers in my group brought cars in B-class & lower.
Both the M3 and the M6 have reset on me when joining a lobby. Seems inconsistent as to how often it happens. I’d say it’s likely the other cars experience it as well but I haven’t tested them all.
It happens with every car randomly while joining or swapping the car in the lobby.
I suspect some players do not notice and then start the race in a stock tune.
So far so good in the Career events. I completed the Early M with no AI trouble. And I’m halfway through with the M8 GTE, generally decent AI behavior, even in the usual trouble spots.
One annoyance, IMO, is the terrible glare on the M8 GTE rear-view display. Here is what I see on my XBox:
I enjoy multiplayer, but there needs to be more short races as well, I don’t have much spare time. And class R-C open like the old hoppers. And specific single make and model races each week. Got my class C car up to scratch yesterday and now I can’t use it as it’s changed to E class races…
A major issue with certain race cars you all and even @T10ManteoMax aswell as Turn 10 themselves have slipped your minds from underpreforming top speeds on the following:
•2014 #93 Dodge SRT motorsports Viper GTS-R
•2021 #5 Cadillac DPi-v.r: Very low top speed 210 mph top speed to its competitor the 2020 #6 Acura ARX-05 DPi’s 228 mph! Huge deficit especially when both are fully upgraded!
•All Three 2023 Cadillac V-Series R’s: 220 mph with max upgrades applied to its competitors 963 and M Hybrid V8 which both can do 229 mph when fully maxed on upgrades.
•1998 #12 Ferrari Risi Competitizone F333 SP: Lowest top end of it’s division and class 205 mph when fully completed on upgrades
^^^All these cars need a top speed nerf to be much competitive on the straights both thier respective divisions and the class overall!
I did the ten races to get the new BMW M4 GT3 and it’s completed in the challenge hub but did not award the car and I can’t buy it still either?
Frustrating because now have no way to get it.
The 2023 BMW #96 Turner Motorsports M4 GT3 is not available yet. Reward cars from the Challenge Hub are first made available when the Featured Tour Reward Showcase is first available. For BMW Month that is January 29th (Wednesday 4pm PT, midnight UTC)
Imho every single sound in these new to FM BMWs is quite solid. I absolutely prefer playing this to GT7 when it comes to taking a E92 M3 or F82 M4 around the Ring. Idk how accurate this Turner M4 race car is, but it sounds quite right to me. I’d like to note that it handles incredibly well too. All of them do tbh. Well done on these BMW additions. I feel like the cabins could have a bit more dynamic range, but I’m not mad at them really. Sound better than GT7.
The first corner in every race in the final BMW Tour before the Reward car race was , to be polite, eventful thanks to the A.I. The final Reward car race was’nt any better . Up until the final tour the series wasn’t to bad but overall I didnt fully enjoy the BMW Tours as much as id thought I would.
I really liked the cars though.
I play 6 on Xbox Series X.
The tour was okay up untill the last Featured tour then the first corner started to prove difficult for the A.I.
I was able to pass the A.I. in front of me from mid pack at the first corner as one was sitting sideways & the others all in a queue bumping into it. I take it had colided as anothe A.I. was off track. So I drove round then for an unchallenged race & win.
Similar events on the rest of the tracks with A.I. making mistakes at the first corner plus breaking mid straight for some reason.
It was only the last tour & Reward Car race that the first corner & straight the A.I. were a bit off, the rest of the tour was fine.
It’s good, close to NSX and 15 Lambo pace wise, but more top speed oriented. It’s got larger front tires than rears (315/310), so a good tune is a must and even then it’s tough to drive on the edge. A bit deceiving, because it drives fine until right on the limit of grip. So hard to be consistent with.
Also the smaller rear tires creates tire wear issue and it will struggle to pull extended stints other cars get away with for those good on tire wear or driving on modest wear. It has some weird quirks such as getting harder to control as the track gets grippier and much harder to control on minor/moderate wear relative to other cars.
