Proto-H featured multiplayer, I was driving the Cadillac V-Series R at Road America. The video doesn’t capture it as well as in-game for some reason. In game I could hear other’s audio more prevalently than my own
See videos below of:
Practice:
Race was so, so much worse. I could hear everyone’s audio all at once, non-stop through the entire race. It was relentless and so distracting.
Noticed this when the update came out on Monday. But when you move to either cockpit cams you can very noticeably hear other cars very loudly. It’s as if the audio just turned up double. Weirdly enough (we tried with the BMW Hybrid LMdH) We could hear a ton of electric sound reving while those cars were on the other side of the track.

I second this bug, it mainly happens in the cockpit view (no matter what car) and it’s basically every other cars audio overlapped with your own, no matter where the other cars are on track
If in the Audio settings you turn down “In Car Audio” down to less than 50 and “Sound Effects” to 100, it will be less noticable and somewhat bearable. May need to balance other settings as you lose the punch from your own engine audio.
This is just a workaround until they can put the V8 Hybrid audio on the correct channels.
I’ve experienced this in Featured Multiplayer too, when driving the 1988 BMW M5 around Sunset Peninsula (full circuit). It happened when other players started joining the qualifying for a multi-class race in the BMW Series.
It’s not just in featured multiplayer, even in private multiplayer you can often (100% of the time I tested it) hear all players vehicles audio that are currently on track. Not matter if it’s a race, a meetup or any other mode.
Since this bug basically renders the cockpit view unplayable it is a crucial bug that needs to be fixed as soon as possible.
