Game audio occasionally cuts out on multiplayer race start

Hi T10,

For roughly the last 3 weeks or so, during my weekly multiplayer race sessions with friends, on occasional race starts I will have no audio for my car from the game. I can still here my friends talking through my headset just fine and as soon as we finish the race (or quit) the sound comes back again and is fine for several more races until it seemingly randomly happens again.

I have not noticed the issue when playing single player races, only multiplayer, in a private lobby.

I have no audio issues with any other game, or my equipment in general.

I run the game on an Xbox One X (Scorpio edition) with a digital copy of the game.

(Did a quick check to see for other threads with a similar issue but couldn’t see any recently - or a note about this in the known issues)

Bump. T10 Please fix! Now on a serious note, You are not alone. This has been happening since the May ? update. Only in private MP. Only workaround is to take a muligan and restart your race…

Has been happening even more since the last update. While running practice/qualifying/race lobbies in an organized league, we have to restart probably a THIRD of our sessions due to this. Can’t really find a cause… A few of our racers find it is more likely to happen after they go into the tuning menu, but I personally don’t experience that.

Honestly I don’t think they will even care. They will just think “well go play in our hoppers then” and ignore it.

Our club has experienced this also. No audio from my car but hearing the distant audio sounds, such as other cars on track etc. random in nature, clears up when restarting, sometimes not…
Also another multi player issue, about half the time custom liveries on top of factory liveries in lobby. Work around seems to be select another car then go back and reselect first car and livery is correct…
Not a deal breaker, but when running club meets and producing replay vids for you tube, it can get frustrating to say the least!

I find it more usefull to have all users and complains in one thread. Please repost your issues there.

We already found a workaround: After finishing the qualifying race you have to load an other track and then go back to the track you actually want to race.
