[Unlocking framerate above 60fps: possible, but how?

Hey everybody,

As discussed before here, I am curious if anyone can tell me how Forza 6 limits the framerate. I am currently testing out an MSI gaming rig with a 1060 GTX on a BenQ 144Hz monitor connected via DisplayPort. After disabling V-Sync in the Nvidia settings and changing the video quality to Ultra, I was able to get really high framrates, with a maximum of 144fps, which makes sense since that’s the maximum refresh rate of my monitor.

However, I have no idea what happened but since a few hours it has again been stuck on 60. I cannot for the life of me figure out what I did to get it to unlock. What I do have is proof that the framerate was unlimited for a while, as I was doing some benchmarking and recorded a few races:

Can anyone tell me how I can get it to remove the framerate limiter again?

I found out what was causing the 60fps cap. I had my game capture device connected through HDMI which held the framerate down on 60fps. Using MSI Afterburner fixed this somehow. Thx anyway.
