Paddles now move which is a great touch. But instead of reaching over to click those gears, why are the driver’s fingers just going straight up then back down on the steering wheel, as if saying “no thank you” to the waiter?
Come on T10, you can get this right. Patch up the animation. Everything looks good, just get the driver to make contact with the paddles without getting too overzealous!
I agree with you 100% though I will admit after having 4 years of the slap across the back of the head animation, I’m taking the update and running

Yeah i also noticed that, very strange when you discover that.
Can not unsee … Too bad really noticeable on the Porsche (it has small paddles), especially since it is the cover car of the game .
I don’t know if that can be easily corrected .
They patched in animations for paddle and stick shifting in FM3, if you recall. I think if they set their minds and resources to it, they can certainly improve the animation. It is just so SO weird at the moment. He’s not even making contact with the paddle, raising his fingers straight up in the air and the paddle moves. Ghost shifting!
The animation is like the driver is shoeing a fly of his finger. At least the paddles actually move, I hope it’s the same for the stick shifter I doubt it though. But 180* degree wheel animations are the biggest joke of all.
The stick shifter do move, saw some full game gameplay on youtube.And you can see it a little bit with the MBenz Truck.
Yeah, but it’s how unconvincingly the hand moves. Perhaps they could patch it so that the fingers go up only momentarily but come down to make contact with the levers. It doesn’t have to be over the top, just something that actually resembles a paddle shift. They still haven’t included proper wheel movement, they can certainly start by working on the gear shifting animations. I think there’s enough people here who ARE in favor of proper animations.
