Well imagine the look on my face when after confirming LG g29 wheel is supported in the game and buying it and setting the game for manual+clutch I reach to change gear on additional G29 H pattern shifter and… nothing happens, I can sort of set up wheel for FB that is acceptable but how the hell H shifter is not supported?
How there can be clutch settings and bindings in the game but there is nothing for H shifter, Am i supposed to use clutch and then pres gear paddle to shift up /down? Is there an option that I just cant see? Or maybe the game doesn’t support manual shifts at all? Anyone can explain how pretty pricey wheel that is SUPPORTED is not supported, just partially. Heck even when i plug my wheel to play The crew everything works, even light indicator to change gear (build in lights on top of steering wheel, which doesn’t work in forza of course). Any help?
I don’t have any suggestions, but I’m getting a G29 later this month with a shifter and I’m really worried that it doesn’t work - the shifter was a huge selling point for me. I’m in the same boat with you man.
Exactly… I was under impression that our wheel is supported, there are official mappings and name g29 is in the game, sooo did they forgot G29 can have H shifter? What Im also curious is how can you bind gears while there is no options to bind specific gears, I just dont see those options for any wheel… Ok so let me ask this, is there any wheel on market right now that have H shifter support in this game? Or maybe some official info when can we get FULL support of our Logitech G29 wheels with working rpm indicator. (but i guess developers probably dont care about our H shifter problem)
I have the G920 (which is essentially the Xbox version of the G29) and it is NOT officially supported by Logitech to work with Forza Horizon 3.
However, I have been using it with the H-pattern shifter with no problems, despite Logitech stating that FH3 does not support the wheel. I cannot speak for the PC version of the game (which i assume you are using if you’re using a G29). I would check with Logitech to make sure that the G29 officially works with the game.
Also make sure the shifter is fully plugged in. Not sure how it is with the G29, but on my G920, the shifter plug can easily be shaken out of the socket. I think I may try holding it in place with some duct tape. Happened to me a few times when playing FH3 where the H-pattern shifter just suddenly stopped working because the plug was loose.
