Turning the radio on reduces engine sound

I’ve been playing FH3 for quite some time and I have noticed something peculiar.

When I turn the radio on, even if the radio volume is set to 1, the engine sound for all cars go down by a lot, like they have been muffled.

This thing bugged me so I went to FH1 and FH2 to see if the same thing happened but the two games didn’t muffle engine sounds when the radio was on.

Is this only happening to me or is it standard with FH3?

I would really like to play the game with the radio on (with 7 or lower volume) without muffled engines.

Thanks.

Yep it’s true. Recommend turning off the radio for the best car sounds.

Or if you want to listen to the radio, drive the Tesla Model S P90D!

Yep I noticed this. Repetitive radio hasn’t been back on since.

Yes this is annoyingly true so no music for me in certain cars (not all because some cars sound bad haha). I also found that when you’re cruising around 40mph and then accelerate over around 60-70mph the radio volume increases slightly.
