Turn 10 has lost it

Dear Turn 10,

Now I don’t usually post to videogame forums, but I feel that I have invested a lot of time and money into your company and I feel that you have ruined something that I used to use to relax and have fun with people who were like minded. A place where there use to be a VAST and DIVERSE community of people from Drifters, Cruisers, Drag racers (way cooler than what y’all made), and just Racers, but we also had those that painted super sick cars, and those that tuned cars and became noticed for those things as well in the community. There was even Drift competitions all over the place, not just the ONE that there is now, a drift crew even made a video for Forza 3’s Fujimi Kaido that is still one of the best videogame drift videos to hit the internet, but there you went and did what you did. You came out with forza 5 hyping it up for what 2 years and that’s when you started the degradation of the videogame I have invested so many hours and quite a bit of money on over the years. You removed the Custom Public Lobbies HOSTED by PLAYERS and started using your own servers which slowed down load times and increased crashes in the game getting booted back to the lobby screen and only one person is in the race. Then you went and [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] the auction house and all the other fun aspects of your unique racing game and turned it into a wannabe “simulator” that’s that same as the rest of these console racers. I know the community will read this and probably agree. I just wanted to put that out there because y’all use to be a company that listened to its community. I will no longer be purchasing your Apple level locked product.

Though I may be a bit bitter, I understand you want to “appeal” to the those that don’t want a hard racing game but that’s what you cut your teeth on being the closest sim on consoles. I hope you do change back and start listening to the community. Though as long as it sells enough to make another then why bother. Maybe y’all need to detach from Microsoft like bungie did.

Sincerely,
A Player Since Day One

You don’t really mention anything about the reality issues you say the game has; rather, all you seem to really be taking issue with is the multiplayer element.

The community that forza use to have was awesome, they took that away by restricting so much of the community aspect of the game which made it different from say grandturismo. All I’m saying is they’ve took the community away and that coupled with the customization of everything from the cars to the lobbies is what made forza the number one option for me and in sure a lot of others. I guess I’m coming from the drifting community and there isn’t much of one anymore. You get more and more people trying to wreck those of us trying to enjoy the game for the past two titles making the experience unenjoyable. Like there use to be hella lobbies you could join and if someone was wrecking they got kicked, unlike what usually happens in the matchmaking hoppers. I don’t have issues with the game itself, it’s pretty decent, no sim, but it’s realistic enough for a console game to make it enjoyable, but their lack of listening to the community and restricting it leaves the game in the same realm as any other “sim” console racer. I personally feel that they’re just using what they got changing menus and music and calling it forza 7 just like they did with 6, being the only real change from five was less cars and alittle better physics, and they went wrong with 5 when they started taking away community options.
