Turbo Troubles (Plz Help)

Hey, Forza Community. I’m in a bit of a bind, as I’m trying to make a competitive S2 Class tune for the McLaren P1. It’s got low ride and long gears, and the figures say it’ll go from 0-60 in 1.74 seconds, and from 0-100 in 3.49. However, this is not really the case. Because when I put my foot down from a standstill, the car revs to life for a split-second, then dies for a short moment, then puts all the power down, making off-the-line races a real problem. Is this turbo lag, or is it something else? If anybody can help, please let me know so I can revive this British Brute ASAP.

What assists are you using? And are you using controller or wheel?

First gear is probably too long, shortening it will help. Or try shortening you’re final drive. Try one at a time or both if you want. Of course, having traction control on would limit wheelspin and would give a feeling of “stalling” in low RPMs. To shorten gears, move the slider to the right, the number should be higher. If you want to have optimal gearing in each gear, then use ForzaTune 6 or the U2SC tuning calculator.

Seriously? I hadn’t thought about that. Come to think of it, I probably haven’t turned the TC off since I made the mistake of doing that with the Regera. Probably killed about ten sets of tires that day. Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll try that out.

Glad I could help, I hope it works. (^o^)(^o^)

Well, doesn’t sound like turbo lag. This happens when your gears are too long. Make your gears as short as possible, without your top speed going too low. 400 km/h (250 mph) is where I stop shortening my gears when I’m dealing with a hypercar. If you do this, your car will be able to use more torque on launch, making its 0-60 time faster.
