I’m looking for some tunes but the tuning lounge seems somewhat dead. I don’t really understand how to begin tuning (even with some guides that I’ve seen) because I don’t know what is best for each track at this point. I assume grip and acceleration are pretty important, but I’m just not getting it very well. I get into the tuning section with my car, change a few things based on what I read and eventually end up knee deep in questions…I just don’t know what causes some of the things that are happening and as a new driver it could be a combination of not knowing how to tune AND (probably more accurately) not knowing how to drive very well.
Anyhow, can someone point me in a good direction for car and/or track specific tuning? I know I need help with driving as well but I figure some good tried and true tunes couldn’t hurt!
Specifically I’m looking for tunes for the E21 (found about 10 in a list in the tuning lounge but a few tracks were missing). The DBR9, Saleen, P1 and Ferrari 458 for all tracks.
I think this might be slightly misplaced but as I said, the Tuning Lounge seems to not have much activity right now. A little help for a noob?
I tune well…If you add me I will share the db9 and 458 R class with you buddy, my cars are pretty solid…I already have a p1 on there that runs well if you wanna take it for a run , let me know if you try it or care to try
I’m new to the game AND this forum, lol. I assume you mean add you on the X1, no? Not sure how to try one of your cars though. Sorry for my lack of knowledge on this stuff guys, but I appreciate the help!
Yea you can friend me or find the p1 tune using my gamer tag XxFuryxX , I’ll help you out if you’d like, when your looking for a tune you can search my name or next time I’m on I’ll guide you thru it…this is my first forza and I wish someone would’ve helped me out, none the less I learned how to tune thanks to a few of our pros here so if I can help I will.
I’ll check out some tunes and see what happens. The thing about searching for tunes though is that I don’t learn anything from it. I just grab it and go. If I struggle I don’t have any way to know why or how to fix it. I which they would show you the stats and/or let you tweak it a little. I figure everyone probably drives a little different so a seemingly perfect tune used by a pro probably won’t get me as far…
Anyhow, thanks for the help! I’m going to check out some tunes and see how it goes. I’m also going to take the above advice and tune a Miata and see where that leads.
I’d really like to get my R class cars running a little better for me but that might take a little time.
Cool man, thanks! I might be struggling with navigating this forum as of now. I saw a few threads that talked about tunes but couldn’t see where to find the actual stats.
I think I really need to work on my actual driving technique. Any tips on this? There are times where I feel like I do ok, and other times that my car is all over or constantly running off the track. I always check my lap times and I’m always a few seconds behind the leaders in MP. I’m sure I’m up against people who have been playing the Forza games forever but I’m not sure where to make adjustments.
I had no idea how in depth this game could be! Tons of fun!
I also just realized that this says I’ve been driving since 2011…I think I rented one of the previous games and was terrible at it. I don’t have 3 years on this game!!
