What tricks have you guys found to make this thing turn? I’ve had to go far more extreme in tuning it than I have in anything else. I used the obvious tricks that involve stiffening the rear and softening the front and managed to place 3rd in a Rivals race. Perhaps that is just my limit as a driver, but I hope not.
Has anyone found an unusual method in the build or tune for coaxing some oversteer out of this thing?
It has ruined B-class racing because of the absurd amount of power it makes, they could have at least made the thing somewhat enjoyable to drive.
The thing can drift pretty well so it isn’t crazy hard to get it to turn. There are a few options. 1, balancing out the suspension to reduce unwanted body roll. 2, changing the differential to give it more power to the rear and less to the front, as well as reducing the front differential for the front wheels locking, basically cutting as much power to the front so they can make it easier to turn. Basically, tune it like you would a AWD vehicle.
My chassis are always well behaved and I tune using the same formula you probably do. This vehicle is the exception. Have you actually tuned it and had a go at a rivals event? You won’t keep up with the top Track-tors just tuning like any other AWD. Mine started with a balanced suspension, ARBs, etc… It was faster once I threw all that out and tried some more extreme settings. As far as your 2nd suggestion, my fastest time ran at 98% rear bias. This is unlike any other vehicle of the 200+ I’ve tuned in FH4. My cars aren’t slow either.
