Just wondering what you guys do, do you download a 5 star tune for your car, or try to make one yourself, honestly there are people so much better than me at tuning i just download a tune, i’d like to make one myself, but what’s the point when there is likely one already 100 times better than what you could do.
Also i do apologise if this is in the wrong area.
Is not hard to do and there are tips on how to just google them or have a check of the tuner forums I do all my own and after a bit of tinkering you work out what works best for you.
I make my own for what I want the car to do. Right now I’m trying to find the very best C600 car (inspired by a challenge on the forum) and the very best B700 car as well.
I don’t use anyone else’s tunes. I did at first, however, I found many of the tunes are for their style or level of driving. Like Alan J T suggested I then went online, read some tutorials and learned how to do it myself. I’m really happy with the results and now it’s one of the fun parts of the game and now am a Semi-Pro Tuner.
For the fun of it, I’ve downloaded some of the top tuner’s tunes and either was slower because it didn’t match my style or wasn’t any better.
All in all, it’s a personal choice, however, if you do use other peoples tunes and like them then use the “Like” feature. Reward them for their efforts.
Well said, even though I do make my tunes available I always use my own. You will never be able to fully utilize someone else’s tunes because of driving styles.
I’d suggest reading posts in the Tuner’s Garage: https://forums.forza.net/turn10_topics97_Tuner-s-Garage.aspx
Glean information there, and ask questions. That’s the appropriate group.
I don’t generally do my own tuning. I just don’t have the time. I don’t play as often as I used to (or near as much as I’d like) so I have found a couple of tuners who I really like (their tunes seem to fit my driving style) and I will usually quickly download one of theirs and take it for a spin. If I don’t like it I try another. There are exceptions…like yesterday when I couldn’t find a tune I really liked for the '73 Trans Am (is too much to ask for a decent tune with the stock hood? ), and I ended up making my own and it turned out OK. But if you are like me and time is an issue you may be able to find a good tuner who fits your style.
