Tune delete method

Had a bit of an annoyance today with tunes and looking for a better method…
I have all but 3 cars with some duplicates hence flirt with the garage max. On occasion I will delete most doubles, and I try not to get any unneeded ones unless I use multiple tunes on this car and I use it a lot. Anyway…a few days ago I maxed out my tune storage for my cars. I decided to house clean my tunes since I really have never done that. What I found is that There is no good way to track your tunes, you have to be in that car to see what you have saved for THAT car only…I have nearly 900 cars! It took me several hours to go into my garage, select a car and get into it, select my tunes, inventory/ delete them, back out to garage again and select next car…900 times…several hours! I never really noticed there is no way to know how many tunes you have saved. I also noticed not every car can have a tune. Yes I have some cars with a couple of tunes but I noticed I have a whole lot of cars that never had a tune…more than what would account for the cars I have more than 1 tune for.
I was surprised but that was not my issue…it is that there is no way to quickly inventory your tunes. With Homologated cars say at 500 PI or a tune made that’s also at 500 from the garage there is no way to see which car has a personalized tune without going into each one and checking every car independently.

Could we get a page that’s like a leaderboard but only for you that shows your cars and the tunes they have for them listed below the car name. Also the ability to delete any of the tunes as you scroll down. This would eliminate the need to go into every car independently to delete tunes and make it much easier to manage them and to see what cars in a certain class have a personal tune and what ones don’t and are just Homologated.

The other option to fix this is make the tune storage larger than the cars offered in the garage.

I do realize that there are many more players who will never have this issue as I am a long time player and played every Forza made and this was never an issue for me till now.

I also understand I will probably not drive all nearly 900 cars so why do I need a tune for all of them…because if there is a car in my garage I should have the option to put 1 tune on each of my cars without having to delete one. I would rather drive the cars with a tune on it and if my current car has no tune on it and I want to download one I first have to go to my garage and find a car with a tune I can delete exit the car I want to tune, get into the car I want to delete the tune, go into my tunes and delete the tune, exit out of that car, find the previous car in my garage, go into it, and now finally save the tune I wanted to save in the first place.

yes I know any 2 tune cars would not happen but that at least allows me the option to sacrifice for multiple tunes*

This all started with me playing in league and after getting beat by a great driver I wanted to try his tune on my car the next race…I couldn’t as my tunes were full ( 1st time I got this warning). It would not let me download his tune from the league screen. I first had to delete one of mine…in order to do that ( long method listed above to delete a tune ) I have to back out of the league lobby. Now I have to remember the user name ( as I will most likely not join his lobby again ) to get the tune I wanted to download…just seems harder than it should feel I think…any thoughts?

I know the feeling. I hit the limit 2 weeks ago. I spent over an hour going through my cars one by one and deleting duplicate tunes. I wish they had a page like the one that shows all your liveries in one place or at least an easy way to find cars with multiple tunes saved so you don’t have to get into every car to check.

After I’ve downloaded and installed a tune, I then immediately delete it, this way my car stays tuned and the tune slot remains empty. Only for certain cars do I keep multiple tunes. For example, for the Ford GT 40, I keep a speed tune for long tracks and a grip tune for short tracks. I do this for all my cars. All together I don’t think I have more than 8 downloaded or saved tunes.

Edit: I forgot to tell you guys that I participate in division based races only. For instance, I never tune an exotic GT car for R class races so method mentioned above doesn’t work for everyone. For example, others keep multiple tunes for the Alfa Romeo Stradale 33. For A700, S800 , R900 and even for the P class.

It’s a good idea if you are organized😃 With nearly 900 cars and getting many from events I participate that I don’t need. I pretty much give most duplicates I get in Rivals away in the auction house. I only need 3 FE cars to have every one in the game already. I have 117 leveling up prizes that I have not even opened. I know there are no cars I need. ( also don’t need the credits as over 17,000,000 currently so just increasing my unopened level up rewards for now. I would never remember what cars I had a tune on even if I only had 1 for each car as A Homologated car and a tuned car will probably have the same PI. Plus with all the doubles coming in which is the car with the tune as I can’t get the tube back if I sell the wrong car.
I wish I was better organized but it is what it is…

What I started doing is, the cars I use I paint gray with red wheel. Makes it easier to clean up when it’s time. The cars you don’t like don’t paint them and delete all tunes.

I agree Coop…I went through every car and deleted any excess tunes I don’t use much. Also many of my tunes are from the leaderboard so there were some I just deleted and will let the leaderboard save the tune I used and redownload it if needed as it will be available in the leaderboard. I know what track its for and easy to get without holding a tune save save.

Not true, IF you have 10 of the same car, all you need to is to get on one of those cars and you will see all of the tunes for that car.
