So I had gotten a barn find in Blizzard Mountain which was the International Scout 800A,
Now while I’m in Blizzard Mountain it say I have found the Scout but when I’m back in Australia it says that there is a barn find and to go to the Mountain. I don’t know what to do
The barn find was originally available from the All cars section of DLC cars and could be gotten for free when BM first came out. Are you sure you didn’t get it from there first and then get a second one from the barn?
Not a problem go back to BM and then go to your garage and then get the Scout I had same problem could not get it till I went back to BM
I also have an issue with barn finds but my issue is slightly different than ‘fuzzybullwinkle’.
(I didn’t want to create a new thread for my case as I don’t know how severe it is.)
So far I have all the barn finds on AU, BM & HW, but according to my game stats I have 19/20. so I spent half a day searching for what barn find car I am missing, I found out that it was the AMC Pacer X. I bought the Pacer X off the auction house 3 weeks back as it was going very cheaply, and it was my first car to buy on the auction house. (at this time I only had discovered 5 or so barn finds)
I am wondering if my save could be slightly broken considering I bought the Pacer X from the Auction House and that the Pacer X was apart of a forzathon. I just find this strange. As I am wondering considering that I bought the game on the 30th of April, I did not have the game back when the Pacer X barn find was available for the Forzathon. So my game should say 19/19 barn finds found over 19/20 like it is right now.
If anyone knows how to fix this. please let me know.

You didnt get that barn find so you are stuck with 19/20 unless they have that barn find come round again

The missing barn find DOES count towards 100% completion. Unfortunately. I’ve done everything and I’m stuck at 99.9% completion. The ONLY thing I’m missing is mentioned barn find, the AMC Pacer X. I also started playing after related #Forzathon. The only hope is that devs will give us another chance to get it. And you’re right, I have OCD - at advanced stage I might say - and it really pisses me off, especially when I have both expansions fully completed.
Unless you are using a different gamertag you are nowhere near 100% completion going by your achievements
What does achievements have to do with completion of the game? Achievements are nothing more than a weird requirements and challenges just to extend the game time. That’s first of all. Secondly, what’s the point of going through achievements if they are broken? I don’t have the very first achievement that everyone should have unless you don’t own the game. Suprisingly, 80.55% players have it. I’m pretty sure that I’m missing about 7 or 8 achievements because of game/Xbox app fault - pick one, because I’m not sure what is causing the trouble. Last but not least, if the game says it’s 100% it is 100%, so your argument is invalid, no matter how many achievements I’m missing.

Thank you for the information talby71. Yeah I could be a slight OCD thing. but at least I know that my game is not broken… I was fearing that it could lead to my game being corrupted and that I will have to start from scratch. but if that is the case then I’ll live with it.

Yes, that’s correct. I’m sitting on 99.9% base game completion. Both expansions - Blizzard Mountain and Hot Wheels are 100% according to the stats in game. That was the point of my first answer, I wanted to crush some people dreams about getting 100% - at least for now, because unavailable barn finds does count. I bought the Pacer X on AH just in case it will never show up again as a #Forzathon reward, but I still hope that it will appear in some 1-day #Forzathon, just like Lamborghini Huracan Horizon Edition week ago. Well… I still have some cheap cars to collect, so I’ll take care of them for now and maybe one day, the Pacer will show up as a reward.
Back to achievements, there are many more that I’m missing, but since I don’t care that much about them I didn’t track exactly how many I don’t have. I’ll never get every single achievement in this game, because of the limited time on some of them (#Forzathon challenges). I know they doesn’t count because of their value (Achievements Points?), but nonetheless they are still achievements.

yeh its stupid that the something only available from a forzathon challenge counts towards 100% completion
that’s why I thought some of your incomplete achievements might be causing it

I have a question regarding the ‘Frozen in Time’ achievement and the ability to backup save games. as referenced from the first post here ‘https://forums.forza.net/turn10_postst94939_Don-Joewong-Song-Lost-his-entire-save---Here-s-how-to-backup.aspx’
I am wondering if I backup my entire save folder and play all the way up to getting that achievement on BM. would I be able to restore my backed up save and return to where I was before?
as yes I have the car fully restored and fully tuned up… I am also going to remove it from my garage and re-buy it through the barn find section to see if this makes the achievement pop otherwise I am going to see what you all think I should do.

I don’t think so. but how can this be any different to the save backup trick you can do with steam?

EDIT: so you cant remove it from your garage but you can put it up on the AH, but once it is there you cant buy a new one via the barn finds section or the autoshow, so you have to buy a new one via the AH… bummer… I guess it is going to be save backup tomorrow…
You can not buy from barn find section, only auction house and that does not trigger the achievement.
