Triple Crown Endurance Championship Series complete

Hello all! I am anxious to do some series racing on FM5. I have devised this small 3 race series to get my feet wet.

RECENT EDITS/UPDATES: Additions of Road America

*Series currently full. We will consider people as back ups, should anything go wrong, on a first come first serve basis.

Welcome to the Triple Crown Endurance Championship (TCEC)! A place where us FM5 players can get a taste of what is to come in the coming months. With content updates and DLC FM5 will be changing, at the moment we will run this series with what we have and make the most of it.

Please if you will send me a PM with your email so I can send you a text document that further discusses the series and also names the prizes.
to sign up below post your Gamertag, timezone, car and number choice. If you are running with a teammate post that also.

ASSISTS

All assists will be driver discretion with the exception of one, simulation damage will be on.

GAME OPTIONS

Game options will be circuit race. We will take the average lap time and divide two hours by the that to set the number of laps.

RULES

1.1- Qualifying- 6 laps at Sebring and Road Atlanta, 3 laps at Le Mans. Collisions will be off. Fastest clean lap wins pole position

1.2 Pace lap- All drivers will use the pace lap to warm up their tires. 80MPH speed limit. No collisions.

1.2A Standing start- at the end of the pace lap we will come to a complete start in grid order double file. Race will start after all are in order at a specific time mentioned by me via the race time.

1.3 Early Accidents- If any accidents occur within the first 4 minutes of the race we will restart with no penalties issued.

1.3A Cautions- when there is an accident the cars involved will be able to pit, all others will slow down to 80MPH until the field has been reset in running order at the time of accident, anyone a lap down will be put back on the lead lap. Persons involved in accidents will restart at the back of the field, with the ahead person at the time of the accident starting ahead of the other person. After the grid has formed back up race will resume under the direction of me in the manner of the initial start.

1.4 Passing- All passes must be called out via headset, notifying the slower car of your position in relation to theirs.

1.4A Blocking- Blocking is permitted when its between cars racing for position. You will be allowed one block per straight/corner one move. If the faster car reacts to your block and has a better run you cannot make multiple moves to maintain position. Lapped traffic cannot block lead lap cars.
Causing an accident while blocking will be heavily investigated (permitting there’s reviewable evidence). We cannot have people causing accidents that are avoidable while blocking.

1.5 Pit Window- Pit windows will be from 1hr-1hr 15min. All cars must pit within this window. Pit entrance and exit must be declared via headset.

1.6 Declaring avoidable contact- Accidents will be reviewed by me and another party to decide if contact was clearly avoidable via the race replay. This is virtual racing, done within the limit of technology and human skill, expect some paint trading.

1.7 Teams- Anyone wishing to run with a teammate may, but you must both be in the same car.

PENALTIES

Penalties given for avoidable contact will be served in the next race. Penalties given during the final race at Road Atlanta will be a deduction of 5 pts. Penalties given for Sebring and Le Mans will be served via pit penalty at the start of the race. 2nd and any other offenses will be a deduction of 5 pts.

POINTS
Driver points will be awarded based upon the number of entrants. Ex: 16 players- 1st gets 16pts 2nd gets 15 points and so on. Team Points will be awarded in the same manner then added together.

LIVERIES/CAR NUMBERS

Liveries and car numbers will be available on a first come first serve basis. Liveries and numbers taken will be listed in order on the thread at forzamotorsport.net. Liveries are not required but highly suggested. Numbers are required. I will have custom series plates available to those who ask. Message me on Xbox live so I can create one with your number. Plate will be shared and you can download it.

I would love to participate. Very clean level 250. SO happy to see someone doing this! Been waiting to see this happen to online play for some time now.

Thanks for all the interest guys! I have updated the entrants list, If you’ve already signed up please list your car and number. If you haven’t already signed up what are you waiting for?

I had one question about the rules that I wanted clarified. When it says that you should announce that you’re passing someone, is this only when you’re lapping someone, or need it be when your passing for position too? If the latter be the case is the car being passed allowed to defend against the pass or should they just yield to the faster car?

When you’re passing for position it is always a good idea to tell that person. Yes you can block them if you like but the announcing before passing lets you know exactly who you’re getting ready to pass so that you don’t wreck each other under circumstances that could have been avoided. Your point is a good one thanks for bring it up.

I think I’ll get in on this. I don’t do a lot of online racing but I do my best to run a clean race.

Corvette Racing ZR1 for me, #21 please.

GT is Chevelle81 and I’m central US time.

Bumfight, we will call out all passes, lapped passes and passes for position. It’s just a way to help cut down on contact. A few people signed up I’ve raced with for some time now and we’ve always done this. It helps alot. Heading into corners and underbraking someone especially.

OP updated with preseason testing at Sebring February 15th. Lobby will be open from 2-4pm EST. I would encourage those without much online experience to participate, race etiquette and other information will be explained.

Blocking is permitted when racing for position, lapped traffic cannot block the lead lap cars. There has to be a happy medium though, we cant have people causing accidents from blocking. Generally if someone is faster than another person they will find a way around cleanly. That’s what we will be promoting. Thanks for bringing all this up guys, rules will be edited/added to clarify.

I would love to participate in a race like this but I usually work until 5pm est so unless the scheduling could be moved I cant.

I would like to participate.

#25 don’t know what car yet

Finished my paint for the series pictured below.
Anyone wishing to have the number plate I will make it and share it for you, I have had some requests already. GT class logo will also be shared.

Id also like to get in on this.
