more useful comment from me now; at first the chest did not appear on the map, which made me say “oh dear” - but after closing, opening, changing filters, closing and opening again it was indeed there

Last time I did an event lab it bugged my chest, so I recommend to avoid doing this.

oddly enough, I avoided using the map in series 6 (finely tuned) and that was bugged on the first try and still bugged after the “fix” and (of course) is still not fixed in the playlist history

On PC here, I always get the message and hit X etc. It shows the map and forgets to place the chest. Close map, re-open map always makes it appear for me.

hehe… a bit like me, not really bothering to do these but this was so easy, hit X, and then, what ? no big red circle ? Oh, right, I think I was meaning to test that last time… My Treasure Map is working now ! No big red circle but a giant treasure chest on the map right where it should be lol
