Agreed but PG will probably not fix it before next Thursday. It’s a temporary workaround for those who want to complete the Treasure Chest challenge.
They can fix things quickly when they want to, I remember there was an issue with the trial not so long back where all the Drivatar’s were zero level and they fixed that within a day of it being reported because players were winning too easy and they cant have that, so if they could be bothered they could fix this before next Thursday with no trouble.
I think the xbox live subscription method is a bit excessive. I already paid for the game, I’m not paying a cent more for this pure incompetence.
But it also shows how people don’t have much faith in devs addressing or fixing any of the issues and are looking for workarounds.

There has been no comment about the issue, from the forum team, all they do is close merge and move duplicate threads waste of space the lot of them.
Folks, on the Steam forums someone just provided a kind of solution that might work.

For all of us that moved past that point this week – it’s no use, but it can be very useful for 2 remaining treasure hunts in Series 9 and forward. I will be trying that on Thursday for sure, not to risk another bug.
I have the same issue with the chest not being there and I completed the Arcade just fine. Hope to see it fixed asap. If not no harm done really, but it would be nice to see it fixed.

I don’t know if you’re being ironic, or not, but I’ll answer anway.
The person meant the orange circle that shows on the map up once you complete the task associated with the clue. Looks like once you go to that orange circle, and you reveal the position of the chest by approaching the exact location, the bug can occur. Seemingly if you don’t go to the orange circle after completing the clue, but first restart your game, the chest is visible for PC players as well.
Just an fyi. Latest patch (as of today) does not address the PC bug where actual chest fails to appear even though Icon for it appears on map.

it’s my first-time treasure hunting and the game is bugged…

There is a workaround but you have to be a gamepass user. You have to play on cloud with the same account and the chest will appear
Wonderful, first treasure hunt and I already can’t complete it. Finally got an air event just now on the very last day, and ontop of that I’m a Steam user, so I don’t get cross-saves. Here’s hoping It’s some weird graphics settings related thing.
How do you get an Air event to even show up? I’ve been waiting forever, even seen some events should up again after the time expires. How the heck does PG have every event on rotation EXCEPT AIR?? Come on PG! Mike Brown, what is your team doing here honestly? Unreal.
It’s just random. You might get one the first time you look, or it might take a half-dozen cycles.
