I’ve tried almost every possibility listed in this thread and its not working for me. I hope this can be marked as complete retroactively, my playlist history currently sits at 100% completion

It worked for me on the drag strip, but as i said, i play on Xbox One X, so maybe i just got lucky ?

Got the same issue, I even tried different things.
Going as fast as I can? Nope, didn’t work.
Going as close to 200 as possible? Nope, didn’t work.
I didn’t bother much to try different cars because I knew no matter what I pick, the treasure wouldn’t trigger!

- It seems that the OLD BUG that gave conflict when you used some event from EventLab / EventLab Island (codes or activities in the Playlist has returned to harm/Disables the TREASURE HUNT
- I use the CLOUD and XBOX ONE, treasure hunt didn’t work for me

You could be very well right - because I could do it without any problem.
Lucky me I am also not affected by the distance driving not counting issue.
Playing on XSX.

Will raise my hand for experiencing this bug.
Have tried several cars, tunes, & traps to no avail.
Also tried it on my PC & Xbox series X that did not help.
Likely no fix will happen they never fixed them in the early days when this happened like every other week.

Yep, exact same experience for me also. Got message as soon as I started driving last Friday; unable to complete Treasure Hunt since then after trying on multiple PCs with multiple cars/speed traps.

It sucks to hear that so many people are hitting a bug on this one. For what it’s worth I just sent my stock Agera RS down the Festival drag strip, got 3 stars at the speed trap, and got the treasure chest prompt right away.

Here’s another one suffering from the bug.
I have tried, without luck, more than 30 cars of different classes, as well as testing at several different speed radars.

Same for me. Muiltiple cars (stock and upgraded), multiple speed traps. Still no treasure despite 3 stars and well over 200 mph.
Xbox Series X. Did all the tricks. Shut down and restarted game. Shut down, unplugged Xbox, waited a decent amount of time plugged it back in.
As an aside, I always turn my console off when I am finished for the night. When I turned it on and started up Horizon 5, I was given that prompt to check the clue (the one we get when we have successfully completed part 1 of the challenge), but there was nothing on the map.
At this point it would have been more efficient to do 5 of those 60 Arcade events (drift, speed, etc) to get the 300 points

Late to comment but nothing works. First thing I always do is the treasure hunt. On Thursday I hit the speed trap at the festival site way over 200mph and nothing. Circled round and hit the highway. Still nothing from the speed trap. Strangely as soon as I hit the speed zone it flashed up that I’d completed the first step, but then nothing. The chest didn’t appear. The tile in the playlist didn’t update.
I’ve attempted it daily in multiple cars at multiple speed traps and speed zones, but nothing. I’ve tried it on my XSX, XSS, PC and xCloud, but no joy on any.
It appears to be bugged on an account level as others have said it’s worked for them on alt accounts.

So it’s bugged for certain accounts. What if they make it complete for everyone, problem solved anyway. But I don’t think they will do this, requires a little work and they are already in a festive mood (holiday). I feel so sorry for the completionists (like myself) that they won’t get 100% in series 40. Shame on you PGG

i tried close to every suggestion so far (not tested cloud-gaming), nothing worked. i also tried to create a new local windows useraccount and sync my forza save again, also didnt work.

I guess the old saying is true. Misery does love company because as someone who has been suffering from an account related issue, it sure is great to see so many others feeling the pain I’ve had for over a year and a half. The only bright side of this is now I’m even more hopeful that the devs will sit up and take notice and hopefully fix it.
OTOH I also remain a little skeptical since the game is getting near its end and it’s likely that resources are more attached to FH6 than FH5.

On my account, the same way , I tried on two consoles, the search for the chest does not give, so many years of the game, the errors are still the same

Same here, I tried everything : different cars with and without tuning, different speed traps. I even tried to do the speed trap with exactly 200 miles, just in case.
Nothing worked.
Please fix or at least gift the Forzathon points…
