I’ve experienced several random spins at Mugello as well.
I had one on Le Mans this arvo, long straight after the first chicane braking for the second and wham! Thought the player behind me slammed into me but watched the replay and they were two car lengths back, it just showed me kick out violently and I managed to regain it. Very odd
Come on guys this track really needs to be fixed!
Assuming y’all have checked it’s not a ride height or rebound stiffness/tuning issue?
No, it’s not a ride height or suspension issue!
No it’s been like it since Mugellos inception. It’s not the only circuit with the issue too.
Happens regardless.
TORA came back huh? surprised. FM is not ready for proper league play and coverage
update 9 had little to no fixes of these type of experience breaking bugs
hopefully theyre not taking the easy way out and ignoring these qol types of needed fixes
good enough for government work and, i guess, ms studios too
Been there since the start. They’re absolutely ignoring them and simply continuing with their plan of incompetence.
Still happening after Update 10
i believe in january both tora and racing haven said they would not be holding events until certain fixes were made
regardless, Update 11 and still no fix as the list of bug fixes continues to get smaller and smaller and needed fixes are seemingly passed over
Were those fixes made? TORA is racing again.
TORA Statement on Forza Motorsport Community Events
Hello everyone. At our recent Town Hall, we discussed our plans for upcoming events on Forza Motorsport. We confirmed publicly that NAFFCAR will be the next Thursday weekly series, and published the provisional car list for our Kyalami GT3 endurance event. However, what we did not do was announce definitive dates for either event. That was by design.
In its current state, Forza Motorsport is not able to provide a consistent, fair, and stable platform for our events. We do not feel it is fair or appropriate to ask our community to spend their time and energy preparing for events that we cannot guarantee the quality of.
There are two specific bugs that are preventing us from moving forward:
- players not being able to see other players, but still able to affect each other
- power handicaps not applying correctly or breaking mid-session
Invisible Cars
A basic requirement in motorsports is being able to see that there other cars on track around you. Currently, many have experienced an issue where some drivers are not able to see the car of another driver, but not always vice versa. This creates a situation where one driver may appear to crash another, but from their perspective nothing happened whatsoever. It also creates a situation where a driver may make contact with another car, yet not affect them whatsoever. The driver being contacted cannot see the contacting driver in this scenario. This happened multiple times during our NAFFCAR Enduro at Grand Oak, causing quite a bit of undue stress on the competitors.
Power Handicaps
We use power handicaps to fine-tune the balance of performance for most of our marquee endurance events. There is a bug where changing an unrelated settings swaps the power handicap for a given bucket to a lower value, without notifying the host. Handicaps also fail to remain active through a session, creating a situation where different vehicles may start a race balanced, then after some indeterminate period, one or multiple vehicles may become unfairly quick, through no fault of the affected drivers.
What are we going to do?
We will not be hosting events on Forza Motorsport until, at a minimum, the invisible car issue is resolved. Integrity of play is vital to TORA. We try extremely hard to foster an environment where everyone has an equitable chance at performing well. These semi-random, game-breaking issues are preventing us from upholding that standard. Your success should come from your efforts on the track and in the tuning space, not at the mercy of software bugs. We are hoping that Update 4 will address this issue when it comes out later this month.
I don’t use Private Multiplayer at the moment due to other features being lacking (spectate, rolling starts, tyre compound limitation, qualifying etc.) so not sure if these got fixed.
not sure that all were addressed but i do know private mp has its own new bug that keeps resetting to club rules after you set your race up.
ill need to check the restrictions tab as previously it would only apply the restrictions to stock pi cars which kinda limits the whole point. for ex. limiting hp or weight would only allow stock pi cars meeting those criteria
Yes. Invisible cars is fixed, and we know how to make power handicaps work.
Just adding this here as I’d assume it to be the same issue (just a different venue) but the final corner at Abu Dhabi has the same forced spin issue.
I am unable to attach the clip I have for evidence but so describe it my car is forced into a spin after clearing the final corner apex curb by some margin (approx 1-1.5 car lengths).
almost a year in now - still not fixed. wake up T10 please!
We think we have found what is causing the curbs and spinning out issues. We are currently working on this and testing the fix for a future release.
