Kerbs

Earlier I was driving GT cars at Lime Rock and the turn 2 kerb kept making my car hit the splitter into the kerb and then stops it real quick and the spins me out. Please Fix!!!

Go around it

As well as the exit curb at T6, I hit the curb in the 2014 Audi LMP1 and the car stopped dead.

Wow, a car acting like it would in the real world? Who would have thought?

I know right…
One of two options.
Stop cutting the corner so much, or raise the car up.

That would involve him using his own tune or learning the proper line.

Yes,the proper line, like race cars do in the real world

Edit: as for the OP’s problem… T10 have basically added invisible walls into some corners to stop people from cutting them. I think some of them have been placed a bit too aggressively.

if you actually watched any WEC(24hrs of le mans), they dont strictly stay between the curbs. they are constantly over running them, but u dont see them stopping dead in their tracks at 60-100 mph coming through the porshe curves, the ford chicanes, or coming out of the dunlop chicanes.

The counter point that cannot be countered.

I’ve not driven or ridden on those tracks in real life, but I have been on Road America, Blackhawk Farms, Willow Springs, Road Atlanta and Laguna Seca. In real life I avoid the curbs and paint if the setup for the car or motorcycle (GSX-R 750) isn’t going to allow for successful cornering. My left knee still feels the curb in 1996 and that was a perfect line.

If your “car” can’t traverse the curb then that’s not the line. If you can’t traverse the curb chances are nobody else can either.

Asking for a software fix is a weak racer’s request.

I’ve been a racing fan all of my life and bashing me for a glitch in the game isn’t right and people like you are the ones who are ruining the community

It’s hard to go around. Look the kerbs there to use, let me use it without being glitchy and killing my car. Its happened at Le Mans as well.

Kerbs don’t stop your car like they just got hit by a freight train like they are in this situation.

You’re not alone Viperfan. This has also happened to me, the exit curb of the second to last corner at limerock, it snagged the rear of my civic, kind of twirled me around instantly. Definitely something isn’t right, or my civic was dragging a hook.
It did happen somewhere else on the course while online, I usually chalk those up to lag.

If you hit a curb head on it will stop your car, it’s top revent cornercutting I think.

I thought thats what the tire walls were there for… You should be able to abuse the curbs without getting stopped dead.

the only time I encountered that issue is when I cut the corners too hard and my inside tires dropped off of the high side of the rumble strips(curbs)

Have you tried lifting the front end of your car higher so it doesn’t rip into the kerb?

Sebring hairpin as well (turn 6?).

It’s not about cutting the curb. Like someone else said, the curb is there to use. If you have ever watched a real race, you know they use a lot of curb in many cases. Cutting the corner would be over half the car over the inside of the curb. That is not the case here. Sometimes it doesn’t take much. Maybe just a front corner and it stops you dead.

I also experienced this… mostly on turn 2 at limerock in a 2015 zo6. multiple times, anyone try it with a raised car to see if it prevents it? I also agree that its a bit much to stop your car dead like that. other than that glitch curbs in fm6 are spot on.
