Tracks - Mugello track geometry causes random, uncontrollable spinning (1792752)

I can’t post video here but here’s a screenshot. I only see this in Mugello. Idk about other tracks. While going straight, spins 360 immediately. (I didn’t touch sand before spin. Happens on curbs.)


Bug Info:

Mugello has an issue with track geometry in at least 3 specific corners, causing cars to uncontrollably spin with little to no warning. This is most prevalent in Borgo San Lorenzo (exit of the 2nd esses), the exit of Savelli (bottom of the hill after the 2nd esses), and happens less often in Luco (first corner of the first esses). This has been an issue since launch, and is not dissimilar to the issues experience with Yas Marina curbs when that track was released.

TORA’s 997 Cup used Mugello this week, and the track caused no less than a dozen incidents in just the NA region alone. Until this issue is fixed, TORA will not be using Mugello, as the track does not provide a consistent and fair playing ground at this time.

Platform:
I experienced it on PC, others in TORA have reported this on all platforms.

Edition:
Ultimate, but that doesn’t matter, the track is the same for everyone.

Account:
Solo, but that doesn’t matter.

PC GPU:
NVIDIA RTX3070, driver 555.85, but this is not a visual bug

Peripheral:
XBOX Design Labs controller

Settings:
1440p, maxed settings EXCEPT ray tracing disabled, low shadows, low cubemap, low reflections, low mirrors

Attempted fixes:
Higher tune ride height, does not make a difference

Can confirm I’ve had “random” spins at the same corners as OP.
There’s sometimes an unusual reaction when you take the inside kerb.

Yeah, I can confirm this bug for me and my racing group as well. Same somehow happens in Brands Hatch inside curb after the straight of the GP course

Can confirm. I was in the round and race 1 I was doing good until I clipped the front inside of Boindetti 2 a little too much and lost every position I had. Dropped from 9th to last and lost 17 seconds in recovery

Same here, any drive over turn 3, 4, and 5 specifically results in a complete spin or loss of control of the car. It’s a shame because it prohibits consistent driving on the track for both rivals and racing with others. Hope the developers see this and are able to fix it!

Would also like to add a second track that was used in TORA’s 997 cup series, track being Watkins Glen. Same kurb issues as seen here at Mugello. Entry and exit kerbs at the bus stop and the following corner, T4-T6. Also this inside of T11 and T12, car randomly drops from barely touch the kerb on apex.
Needs addressing!

Similar situation here at the “Poggiosecco” turn. Inside kerb caused an instability to my car & forcibly slid out.

I have additional info displayed on screen (provided by SimHub) to show car behavior. Maybe that’ll help with debugging?

Another turn that needs attention that wasn’t mentioned is “Arrabiatta 2” at the exit Kerbs.

i have at least 5 more clips with different cars, form GR Supra to KTM GT4

Yep had the same thing, thought I was going mad

It looks to me like your ride height is too low… raise ride height and see if this problem persists

Please add this bug to the “known issues” list.

I reported this for superlight car. I only see that bug in superlight so that car not alone.

I also incorrectly thought that would fix it, but all of those that were spinning had different ride heights. Mine is actually 2 clicks under max on the front and rear in that Porsche.

There has to be some serious work done to the track limits aswell, half of the green runoff areas give you a 1.20 penalty

@ManteoMax What’s the excuse for this not yet been fixed after 8 months?

It’s a joke people still can’t race on this circuit without spinning out for no apparent reason.

Had this happen to me on the exit of the second set of esses yesterday, so still not fixed.
