Toyota is back!

Good for you! Anything else you have zero interest in?

I’m happy for Forza.

The car I’m looking forward to the most is obviously the LF-A, but I wonder if, besides the cars in FH3, there will be other surprises, like an MR2?

Based of FH3 12 Toy + 6 Lexus hopefully + 2 new cars if I got it correctly, 20 cars. GT86 & LFA were/are cars I enjoy on FH3, good to have them back. Regardless garage issue, I just have just no more tuning slots available, kind of killing the party.

GT Sport was released towards the end of October 2017…

2-year exclusivity clause anyone?

Here’s some Forza-Toyota history for reference. There aren’t any announced details about how many Toyotas will come to Forza Horizon 4, so the lists below aren’t a statement of what’s coming.

2012 Scion tC: Am I a joke to you?

(last seen in FM6) [Mod Edit - corrected! thanks for the catch]

In related news, I’m not sure what needed to be done or how it was done, but it’s very nice to see Toyota returning to Forza. As I was/am finishing up my “all cars on the Nürburgring” project in FM7, I found myself missing driving several Toyotas.

Outstanding, this is completely unexpected, brilliant news.

Am I missing something or does Series 17 not start until December 19th?

Series 16
Summer: Nov 21 - 28
Autumn: Nov 28 - Dec 5
Winter: Dec 5 - 12
Spring: Dec 12 - 19

Series 17 Summer begins Dec. 19th.

Torben was in the Discord chat and said he expected a content update a week before Series 17 begins. This could mean that the Supra is available outside seasonal content before the Summer season starts, or they may adjust something as we get closer to the date.

It’s just that Tuesday 17th Dec, which would be the date for a “regularly scheduled” update, is dangerously close to Christmas. So the update may come earlier than usual because of that festivity.

There are several ways the Supra and other Toyotas can join the game:

  • as #Forzathon Shop/Playlist exclusives, available for a limited time, examples: Ferrari 812 when it first joined the game, but also when Porsche cars returned in FH3. Most of the new exclusives come to us through the Playlist rather than the #Forzathon Shop, but interestingly, the '98 Supra is a possible exception, assuming it’s supposed to be obtained next Spring somehow, as nothing in the Spring Playlist rewards you with a Supra… but it could be sold in the Shop.

  • as non-#Forzathon/Playlist exclusives which can be unlocked potentially anytime, example: Nissan R34 GT-R unlocked when you get Street Scene level 4, whenever that happens

  • as DLC, example: Mitsubishi returning in FH4 as a free car pack

  • as barn finds, example: 1979 FJ40 in FH3, they already have the render of a damaged vehicle if they want to give it to us in the form of a barn find

  • as non-exclusives, added straight to the Autoshow, example: Ford Ranger Raptor

Huge thanks to Toyota, Playground, and Turn 10. I was so bummed out by the loss of Toyota that I never bought Motorsport 7 (had bought every game from FM2 onwards). I’ve been driving around Horizon 4 in a Ferrari 355 with Toyota logos on it, pretending that it is an MR2. :stuck_out_tongue:

Looking forward to finally getting into my MR2 again in Forza.

Imagine doing that in real life.

lol. Here are a couple of in-game shots that I took a year ago. Just installed Forza Hub on PC and downloaded them.

Ahhhh…good memories…thanks for posting!

Man…can’t get over how good Forza 5 looked…

Anyways, how dare they make me wait until December 12th to drive my beloved Supra! Haha. I kid of course. I’ll be wanting more than one, for sure. One drift, one race version.

Guess this means Playground has more incentive to work on that “tricky/risky” garage limit increase, right guys? wink wink nudge nudge. I cleared out 21 cars from my garage today with this news. Might last me 3 more series updates.

Awesome news! Major shoutout to Playground Games and Turn10, thank you guys for all the hard work to bring Mitsubishi and Toyota back to the franchise. Finally we will have a complete game again, it’s hard to believe it’s been since FM6 that we’ve had all the big manufacturers in game.

Man I hope the Corolla SR5 is back. I loved that little car in FH3, it was the little car that could.

Either way happy that Toyota and Lexus are back, and I’m excited to get a Supra for sure at the very least.

Probably they will be adding Toyota to the Autoshow.

That would be very good for business, so many fools bought the Ranger Raptor for ludicrous prices, not knowing it was in the Autoshow for much less.

Yup, they did and some folk made an absolute killing during the first week after it’s release.
