The TRD2000 is a super rare (100 produced, supposedly only 10 ever sold) variant that received some heavy under-the-hood (NA 3S-GE) tuning to replicate the version of the Corolla used in the Japanese Touring Car Championship.
Another cool one is the FX-GT, a little hot hatch part of the FX (sporty hatchbacks series) and the top trim of that in this generation with a 4A-GE Silvertop engine (20 valves!)
Another great one would be the supercharged Sprinter Levin/Trueno GT-Z or the lighter NA GT-APEX (Levin GT-Z shown)
Another great one would be the Corolla Ceres/Sprinter Marino G/GT with either the Silvertop 4AGE 20V/5speed MT or (later variants) the Blacktop 4AGE 20V/6speed MT
And the Corolla BZ-Touring, later models with a 6-speed too, but always Silvertops I think
Toyota TRD 2000. A very rare Toyota Corolla sedan equipped with a 3S-GE. A car worthy of being included in Forza.
Toyota first produced the Corolla Sedan GT and sold it to TRD, who then swapped the engine for a 3S-GE and did other upgrades, a very involved sales method.
It is said that there is also a Corolla Ceres version of the TRD2000, but that is incorrect. The only genuine TRD2000 was the Corolla sedan, and the Ceres version was created when a TRD employee brought in a base vehicle and converted it into a 3S-GE, and it was not included in TRD’s lineup as a complete car.
