Last night I re-watched Top Gear: The Perfect Road Trip for those of you who haven’t seen this DVD special episode; it feature Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond start in Venice (Northern Italy) and travel through the south of France to Pau on the south west of France. On the show they also visit Monza circuit and drive through Monte Carlo and I’m sure I read that T10 was laser scanning Monza a while ago(I could be wrong on that) and I have always wanted to drive Monaco in a road car on game.

The episode is fairly entertaining but mainly showcases the location and the car choices the presenters make depending on where they are. The similarities to Forza Horizon 2 hit me immediately. On the show they also visit Monza circuit and drive through Monte Carlo and I’m sure I read that T10 was laser scanning Monza a while ago(I could be wrong on that).

For those who have seen the show am I putting 2 and 2 together right here?

Have T10/ Playground just made a game based of Top Gear DVD?

If you haven’t seen this special I recommend watching it as it’ll excite you 10 times more for FH:2, Ferrari F12 through the Italian Lakes is a sight to see also some good challenges and laughs.

Here’s hoping that the game lives up to it’s hype.

Now I am wondering if they will put Monza in the game since they laser scanned it.

I hope not. Monza would be done far better justice in Forza Motorsport 6.

I just don’t see licensed entities like tracks and specific locations being integrated. Like the original Horizon, I expect only fictional representations of familiar places.

They never said anything at all about Monza, not once. It was a rumor made up by someone.
