I own the wireless speed wheel for the 360 it would be cool If I could also use this on my XB1. Could this controller be made compatible for the new system and if so will it happen?
Side note:
Great work people, love your simulations and the Horizon game too can’t wait for Horizon 2.
Unfortunately, that is a Hardware issue, and there is nothing Turn 10 can do about it.
You’d be much better off posting in the MS / Xbox forums - http://forums.xbox.com/ - or sending email directly to them (support / email address can also be found at that site).
Read the ToS for Xbox Live and associated services; ANY device not licensed by Microsoft is illegal. This includes the alteration of licensed devices in any form or shape. Last time I actually read the complete agreement, I think there was a GT-ban on it and no a “lowly” console-ban.
Last Time I read it it never said whether it’s a GT ban or a console ban but the fact does remain that it is an unlicensed device so players do run the risk of the ban hammer if the Xbox Live Policy Enforcement Team catches them. It does say right in the Code of Conduct not to use unauthorized hardware or modifications and that would certainly qualify.
They came up with a new magical way of communicating with peripherals to get them to do the same things “but better”. In other words, while you’ve already purchased a Microsoft licensed product they want you to purchase another one.
The ironic thing is that this method is only using the adapter in order to play with an officially licensed microsoft device. Guess you can’t win no matter what you do.
