Hello,
When using my Thrustmaster TMX Pro racing wheel on FH4 (Xbox One), the Center Spring Scale does not work at all like it did in FH3. In fact, it does literally nothing from what I can tell. I have updated the wheel’s firmware and adjusted the wheel’s sensitivity, but neither helps.
In FH3, the default value of the Center Spring Scale would make the wheel return to center automatically when you stop the car. But in FH4 it currently does nothing, no matter how I adjust it.
Help please?

I second this.
The only place it does work is on the menu screens, in which the ffb scale has an effect…?! (pointless).
No effect from it when actually driving at all.
I am having the same problem. It only seems to work when I leave the race to the pause menu. I have literally gone through each setting individually and CSS does nothing. I have tried it in conjunction with other settings and notice nothing.
edit: just noticed this was the FH4 forum. I am on Forza 7 and it is doing the same thing there.
I found this thread via a google search.
I recently got a wheel after playing FM5,6,7 and FH1,2,3,4 for about 18 months with a controller.
Like the posters above, I am also finding the center spring setting has no effect at all. This completely kills the feel of the wheel in Forza compared to other games, as you don’t get the progressive increase in steering load as you turn the wheel like you do in a real car. It also means that all the FFB effects are very obtrusive and really disrupt the steering of the car. The net result is I just cannot make the car go where I want with a wheel in Forza like I can in Project Cars 2 and F1 2017.
I see this was reported 5 months ago, but the problem still exists! I am using a Fanatec Club Sport 2.5 wheel base, so the problem isn’t just with Thrustmaster equipment.
I noticed this problem in FM7, I haven’t tried the wheel with FH4 since identifying this problem in FM7.
Will T10/PG acknowledge their awareness of this problem and communicate whether or not they intend to fix it?
