Hi there.
Oh boy. Reading, right? Yeah. Sorry. II’ll try to make this quick.
My name is Mirthless, but if you don’t like that or don’t know how to pronounce it (most people don’t), you can call me Tom or Thomas instead.
I recently started a club for racing cars that aren’t exactly common. Recently people have gotten on the competitive side, and that’s honestly cool with me. However, some people take the game a bit too seriously sometimes, and can be real jerks. I love the idea of clubs in this game, but in my experience, they have become a bit too hostile for my liking. The Tamahagane racing team is a club I’ve established for chill and mature racers, to enjoy playing online with other players who share the crave for sensible driving. If you don’t understand, I’m basically saying this team is for people who want to race online, but don’t enjoy being corner bombed or smashed into rubble by road hogs every other second.
Another problem is the competitive aspect in cars. Not everyone wants to drive some X class Lamborghini or Ferrari to keep up in a race. Sadly, in online sessions, it has come to the point where it’s almost necessary if you want to potentially finish in first place. This is something I dislike a lot, and will talk more about in the document below. A quick scan will tell you this. If you’re looking for a club where you can enjoy racing in your favorite cars rather than the overused hyper-cars that practically everybody has, this might be the club for you.
This club isn’t limited to track racing, though. You won’t be kicked from the club if you prefer to drift with friends in free roam. Matter of fact, you won’t be kicked at all. Unless somehow this club suddenly blows up and we hit the member limit (which will never happen), but until that happens (it won’t) I am not going to kick any inactive players. It’s just a game, and we’re all here to have fun. I’m not fussed about anyone who isn’t gaining experience, per say. That’s totally cool with me. However, you may be booted for not fulfilling the expectations I have around behavior. To learn more about that, click the link at the end of the post.
So yeah, if this seems like something you’re interested in, make sure when you go to join a club, search “Tamahagane Racing” as the club name, or “tmhg” for the club tag.
Lastly, I’m going to leave a link. It contains a publicly displayed Google document that will tell you the few tiny expectations I have of the members, and some stuff about me if you want to know how I act in the club. It’s not exactly necessary for me to leave some paragraph lying around in this thread, so I’ll let you choose to click the link if you’d like to learn more about the club and a small introduction to myself, the cars I drive, and the small handful of expectations I have around behavior in the club. I’d even prefer that you did take a quick look at the rules before attempting to join.
Thanks, and I hope to see people joining soon. Quick note, I hang with my old club members from the NAH! crew sometimes. If you’d like to join in with us, let me know. My gamertag is OnlyMirthless.
