Highly car/track dependent, but ultimately the races are 12% longer.
However, tyre wear is 66% what it was before (6 down to 4).
Some loose math:
- If a Medium tyre hit 60% at the end of a 16 minute race…
- …it would hit 67% at the end of an 18 minute race…
- …however at 4.0x tyre wear it would hit around 45% wear after 18 minutes.
- In a race with this level of wear, a Soft would hit 60% and a Hard would hit 30%.
So basically, if you could no-stop a Medium under 6.0x/16, you could probably no-stop a Soft under 4.0x/18.
Also Short races are definitely all no-stop Soft now with 4.0x wear.
Most races were already no-stop Soft for the right car/driver at 6.0x.
