Thrusmaster Pedal Compatibility.

I have contacted Thrusmaster but haven’t received a reply yet.

Does anyone know if the two pedal set supplied with the TMX are compatible with the TX servo base? I am considering the servo and a wheel purchase but would like to save some money by utilizing the pedals I already have.

Yes. I’m using the T3PA from the TMX pro with the TX currently. The 2 pedal yours came with should be the same.

Just an after thought… The TX is worth the upgrade. If you liked the TMX you’ll definitely enjoy the TX. Not that you were looking for advice. Just wanted to throw that in.

Thanks chuteboxehero1.

Actually, I was looking for advice, that was my next question. Is the TX servo a valid upgrade? If so, why? I have no need for three pedals, strictly a paddle shifter. I also have doubts three pedals would fit with my wheel stand. I’m still enjoying the TMX and am not going out to get the servo any time soon. Just doing some groundwork before I do.

Any suggestions on wheels?

I believe the TMX is a gear and belt system, the TX is a full belt drive, smoother and I believe the servo motor is a little stronger.I own 2 TX’s The 3 pedal set will fit most all wheel stands and the metal construction and brake mod are well worth the upgrade.

What do you mean by “brake mod”?

I think it’s a worthy upgrade. Like T Rex said with the belt system instead of gears it’s much smoother than the TMX. Also I think it has a brushless motor and can put down some intense FFB if you like a strong feel that really pulls the wheel. Mine came with the 458 Italia wheel which was nice but I picked up the TM leather 28 GT wheel and it’s awesome. Worth $150? Hard to say. The other wheels available look really nice too, especially the Sparco rally wheel. That’s another benefit of the TX as you can’t change the wheel on the TMX. Anyhow hope this helped. Which ever way you go they’re both good set ups. Nothing wrong with the TMX.

Another question:

I noticed Thrustmaster includes a template for bolt pattern on their TM servo. Can I assume this means the bottom is flat which would allow me to drill, bolt to my wheel stand?

I had to source an adapter plate to utilize my TMX on the wheel stand I own. Hoping this won’t be required with the TM servo base.

The brake mod is a rubber cone that bolts up under the brake pedal. It just gives it a more realistic feel as it gets progressively harder to press as you get deeper into the brakes. It makes it very easy to run with ABS off if you set it properly. And yes the bottom of the TX is flat with multiple threaded holes to choose from for mounting. The TMX wasn’t designed to be bolted down, just clamped as you probably found out. The TX also comes with hardware for mounting. Shouldn’t be an issue mounting it to your existing stand.
