Thrustmaster 3pa out in May!

Finally they announced something, not gonna sell many without a shifter. They say the shifter is due in the summer sometime. So like, july?

I think ill wait for some reviews after the shifter comes out before I decide between three choices Tx 3pa, t500 with a load cell mod or a Fanatec + Basher adaptor
I understand better pedals improve the game , but Im not racing allot right now anyway, so why not wait? That other game comes out in November (I hope sine the game has been late already I believe.

Thrustmaster just released some more info on the T3PA on their facebook page

The brake will feature a conical rubber mod that allows to adjust the pedal travel and resistance, similar to the brake mods offered for G27-, Clubsport-, T500-pedals.

There still seems to be a review embargo for the T3PAs, so no reviews available yet. ISR is still waiting for green light from TM to publish their review

Inside sim racing now has review of these pedals. They seem like a good purchase and at a very reasonable price.

T3PA Pedal Review

The price is good. Hopefully the shifter will be similarly priced when it comes out this summer.

After watching the review from ISR, the pedals seems like a good purchase. I really don’t care about having the extra pedal, I’m just excited about the brake. It’ll be much better feeling that resistance behind it than with the regular pedals.

After watching the ISR review, I got the feeling that Darin still has some sour grapes to get rid of.

While the rubber bumper is a decent solution, it does not compare favorably to a load cell setup.

I get the feeling his marbles are rolling out of his ears. Put these next to a set of Clubsports and you would roll around on the floor laughing. The T3PA add-on costs nearly $200 in Oz which is an amazingly poor deal by any standard. All that for a third plastic pedal and a little chunk of rubber. They should have shipped pedal number 3 with the TX and maybe offered the rubber mod for $10 bucks in a little kit. Exploitation in its purest form.

Mick, that makes too much sense. It would some what add some justification to the TX’s asking price… Not enough to be enticing, but it would have been a step in the right direction.

Oh well. Ricmotech or some other manufacturer must be already licking their chops at all the Load cell upgrades they are going to sell in the coming months. I predict it’ll cost $250 for the T3pa kit, because it’s going to need a metal pedal.

Who has a set of these pedals?

I am curious to see some details about them.
On Thrustmasters website, they write that the pedal set has metal internals. Can some one confirm this? I am wondering how much of the T500Rs’s design made it to the 3pa pedals?
