Thinking of buying. Few noob ?'s

Hello all. I bought Motorsport 5 and the car pass but it was so long ago I hhave no recollection of how car unlocking works or if it’s the same with fh2

When you buy the game how many cars can you actually drive? I believe with f5 I bought some add on or mode that just gave me the kitchen sink from the word go

In the ultimate edition do you get immediate access to all cars ?

Do the deluxe or ultimate editions give you more currency?

I’m interested in the game but one thing I can’t abide is racing the same few tracks a million times to get a couple cars unlocked…

Of the cars that are available when first playing, are they all weak like small hatches or do you get some good ones?

In your opinions is ultimate worth it?

Feel free to point me to any resources that explain the differences with the method of unlocking. I personally don’t think for me 31 or so cars for half again the price of the game is worth it. And that’s after I did it before. I personally think it’s out of order they don’t extend the franchise so all cars are available in all branches. But I guess that would be far too generous.

Finally I’m not willing to pay $75 bucks for a game then have to conduct micro transactions bringing up the cost.

I like the demo. But I don’t want to spend a
To for a game then find out I’m driving a Mini Cooper for a month to unlock a gri for a month to unlock a mustang etc etc.

Thanks so much and sorry it’s such a basic question. I’m just truly unfamiliar despite owning f5 it fell on the back burner

You have Forza Rewards, you are on Tier 3 so I personally don’t know how many credits you will get p/month. As for the ‘unlock all cars instantly’, there is not any add-on or downloadable content that allows you to do that. DLC that you buy gives you each car for free, a one time deal on each car (maybe that is what you mean). Now onto Horizon 2, you race to the Horizon Festival in a Lamborghini Huracán. Following that you get a choice of the Toyota Supra RZ, BMW Z4 sDrive35is and a Chevrolet Camaro SS Coupe. Following this, you get a showcase event featuring a Ferrari Challenge Stradale. Win the showcase and win the car (S1 Car Class). If you purchase V.I.P Membership you get access to cars for free such as the Ferrari P4 (a personal favourite of myself). You will also receive a few gift cars. The Ultimate Edition doubles the money you get on a wheel spin (Which you get as a reward for leveling up) or if you win a car you get the car and the value of said car.
The Day One Launch Pack is a free download.

The cars included in that pack are:

2003 Ford Focus RS
1997 Land Rover Defender 90
1993 Clio Williams
2015 Ford Mustang GT
1987 Buick Regal GNX
2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV
1968 Abarth 595 esseesse
1956 Ford F-100

These cars are free to all players who download this pack. Micro-Transactions are present, you can turn then off. When you start the game you will have 100 Tokens to spend. Credits in the game are relatively easy to come by depending on what assists you have active, some of the cars are also quite cheap, some require more credits (but are worth the wait!) Feel free to ask anymore questions if you have any! Hope I helped you!

P.S In my opinion the Ultimate Edition is worth it, if you plan on investing time into the game. You also get access to the Car-Pass, which gives you access to 6-Car Packs
(31 cars all added to your garage for free) including the Noble M600 exclusive to Car-Pass owners. A decent car in my opinion!

Broadway.

Hello,

Some of the info I give will be rehash of ^, some will be new.

If you’ll allow me to break up your post:

Well, right when you buy the game, you will be limited to choosing your first car, and after you complete a showcase event, another car will be won. Keep playing the game for a bit, and eventually you will have full access to buying all the cars/whatever cars you want. I guess in theory, you can drive all the cars, but some of the cars you will have to have the DLC to buy and drive. As far as the mode goes, if you go to Rivals mode, you can borrow any car you want (stock, and if you have the corresponding DLC for DLC cars), and try it out.

No. You will still have to buy most of the cars in the game using either Credits or Tokens. The Ultimate Edition will give you the Car Pass and VIP* though, so all DLC cars (save for the new Fast and Furious Car Pack, which you still must buy if you want it) and all VIP cars will be free FOR ONE TIME. Now if what you mean is “Do I have to do X or do Y number of races to unlock this car/these cars”, no. To my recollection, no car is “locked” and requires completion of events to “unlock”.

*VIP also gives you a 50% discount on the Storm Island expansion, which you must buy if you want it. The expansion is not required to complete the game; merely, to increase gameplay, Gamerscore, cars, and credits.

Yes and no. The Deluxe and Ultimate Editions come with the VIP membership. When you are a VIP and you level up, if you win a Credit prize, you will get double the amount. If you win a car prize, you will win the car, and in addition, the car’s value in Credits. But you won’t, say, win double the Credits if you win a race or whatever.

As far as that goes, there are a select number of layouts for each city, so it is possible (read: it will happen) that you will drive on some of the same layouts for each road trip/championship. That said, completing all 168 Championships will net you a LOT of Credits, so you can still buy every car, but you may have to really save up for expensive ones.

You have the choice of a C-Class Chevy Camaro, a B-Class Toyota Supra, or an A-Class BMW Z4, D-Class being the lowest class. Whichever car you choose decides what your opponents will drive and what championship you’re first put in, however, you are not stuck doing that championship forever, nor are you stuck with those opponents forever.

If you plan on getting the “full FH2 experience”, or in other words, plan on really playing the game a lot, yes. If you’re just going to merely pick up the game and put it down when you’re done, no.

Micro-Transactions are in the game, in the form of Tokens, which allow you to obtain cars/upgrades without (or rather, instead of) using Credits. You will be given 100 Tokens to start (equivalent to ~60K CR), and if you wish to obtain more, you can buy them using real money. Tokens are not required to advance in the game or obtain cars at all.

Hope this helps!

If I’m reading your post correctly, I think you are referring to how cars were locked (you could not buy them even with IGC until you reached a certain level) in the earliest of FM games. The Forza games did away with that type of locking after FM2 if I remember correctly. Once you have enough IGC you can purchase any cars your heart desires. You want an Aston Martin One-77? Save up the Cr, and it’s yours.

Imo it depends on how much you’re gonna use the game. I havent got VIP or anything except the car pass and its not like im missing out much. Credits are pretty easy to come by especially with Forza Rewards. The VIP cars aren’t much of a loss either and even without the car pack its still fun, I dont use much of the car pass cars to be honest; and I only use them online for the sake of having this pass lol, but maybe it includes a car you really like to its personal preference

Personally, I love the Ferrari P4 and double wheelspin credits never hurt. There are a few other cars in that VIP car pack as well.
