When doing seasonal events.
It should be : Race ends - > load to next race
Instead its : Race ends → load to map → Fast travel/Load to location of next race → Load menu to select the same car again → Load to race

Well even though games 20 years older are able to do that and the game does it itself in Open let’s not be too harsh on it.
But no seriously I couldn’t agree more, this was suggested back in FH4’s life and would make championships flow so much better, seasonal championships in FH feel like 3 separate races that just happen to share a cumulative points score rather than anything like an actual championship.
The thing about seasonal championships is not everyone wants to do them back to back to back. They may want to go to the garage and tune the car a little bit more or maybe someone else in the family wants game time on the Xbox.
While I do think there are things that can be eliminated between events to streamline things (save the wheelspins for free roam, and shorten or eliminate the podium award time), going straight to the next event would not be a way to streamline it in my opinion.
It’s 3 short races, not the F1 World Championship with a full calendar.
Easy fix, at the end of the race have an option to continue to next race or return to the map.
Exactly. It’s not rocket science.
Because again, badly designed gameplay mechanics. Also one of the things that bothers me the most is to not be able to change the car once the even is started, for the next race, thats one of the most dumb gameplay designs ive ever seen in a videogame, but again, i would not call FH5 even a videogame anymore lol. With all the problems we have, if at least we could change the car once we complete one race, would be great. So many times i chose the incorrect car because i was testing and i realized i picked the wrong one… .and im stuck with it to the end.
The bigger issue is how long those screens take if you ask me, open racing is such a dread more often than not when you’re sitting around for 5 mins between races with your thumb in your…
Whilst all the unecessary loading screens are just painful and annoying, they do serve a very important purpose: To inflate the hours played statistic. This is the only metric that PGG seemingly use for their game, rather than things like player enjoyment, even player engagement. The more hours played, the more successful they deem their game so pointless loading screens etc are just to service that…frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised if the painfully long loading screens for Horizon Open events was also deliberate. My assumption (which I freely admit could be wrong before anyone cites me for libel) is that Playground get bonuses for time played etc which then explains a lot of their design decisions
have a partner join you in a convoy then the championship races are back to back to “back” (only if you need a 3rd race to win 2 of 3).
