Funny thing but after testing, AWD 2005 Subaru is as fast as RWD swapped 2005 Subaru. (U just need to use 90% center diff to make it turn)
Tho it’s not always true, and on some tracks RWD ofc will be faster, but in rain AWD defo can win.
Obvious downside is also tyre wear, and u are basically forced to use sport tyres in multiplayer.
Spent half an hour to make the car work as no aero Sport tires RWD build with the 370Z engine at A700.
Took time to counter the oversteer in low speed turns while keeping the turn-in in faster turns. Turned out decent and I went to MP.
Saw there is a Spotlight Series for it.
Joined it and was only offered rentals because my A-class build was too high.
Backed out of it only to discover that mine had been reverted to stock without an auto-save tune which I could load.
Thought about the wasted time, shut the game off and didn’t play for days.
Whoever came up with the reverting of tunes when the game constantly fails to offer an automated reload of the original build has zero skills in game design.
That infuriated me as well and chalked up another one of those thoughts in my head about the game which the inappropriate filter won’t let me post here
And this problem is made even worse by the game’s low number of save slots for custom tuning files, which limits the ability to preserve our tuning settings separately from the auto-save.
Anyone who hasn’t already voted for this, please do:
It still seems disrespectful to me that you can use almost 4wd cars like golf r, nissan gtr, rs3, sti, evos… it’s forza managementsport or less peso sport… and it’s very frustrating
I played the Lancer III rivals yesterday, it set it to a specific tune automaticly. I did the rivals, then when I looked in my garage it still had that tuning, but after I chose the car it was back to Class A what I had before. So it was only a visual bug.
Let’s all vote for this to get fixed.
Since this THUB post is from Raceboy77, it might have a better chance at getting noticed & addressed. https://forums.forza.net/t/724774
…edit - looks like it later got merged it with another:
What I want for a car like the Evo 3 is not a weirdly shaped aerodynamic car. It’s a race aerodynamic car that looks normal at first glance but can adjust the downforce. I think that’s the right shape for a Gr.A rally car.
