The lack of Online players is very concerning and not enough single player events

havent played more then 1 race of mp in like 2 months now. Its very boring with bad track selection and the fact the lobbies i did get were maybe 12 people at most

NASCAR lobbies were great at the weekend, I saw 20+ most races. I did notice the Touring Cars which I usually do was a bit down on numbers when I tried to join a few afterwards, struggled to find a lobby with double digits.

Going in circles didn’t revive the game?

Color me shocked. Literally haven’t done a single race since this month’s update. Maybe if they provide some actual interesting content in the next update…

Literally the only thing that gets me online is fomo cars that I hope to use if the game ever becomes properly fun.

NASCAR has been pretty fun, IDK what you’re on about. Generally very full lobbies, surprisingly clean given it’s NASCAR, and the road courses are great as well. Strategy is probably the most important I’ve seen it outside of presumably endurance, which I won’t touch since I don’t have that much patience.
This is the first motorsport title since FM4 that I’ve put any real time into, which in my case speaks for itself. Single player is meh, but I think I am at a point where single player track racing is just never going to be for me again.

This dead game has more players than need for speed unbound, crew motorfest, and wreck fest

Nothing about go fast, turn left, go fast, turn left, repeat to infinity interests me at all. We need many more road courses in order to keep things interesting and fresh.

… you are aware NASCAR runs normal tracks too, right? Those races are rather excellent.
Don’t discount oval racing either, I absolutely hate watching it and generally have 0 interest in it, but when you’re in a good lobby there is a decent amount of skill involved in picking up tows and overtaking traffic.

No I don’t think so, not dead at all. Far from it. They are improving it although probably not at the pace most would like. So what? These things can take a lot of time.

I have criticized the game from day one for all its shortcomings. Some were addressed. Some are being addressed.

Again, far from dead. You are welcome to try out other products. I also dive into other racing games from time to time and they give me immense pleasure. Hopefully, Forza will be up to that level eventually.

Forza Motorsport has more players because those games are very similar in theme to Forza Horizon which dominates by far. But if you change the filter from racing games to the top 50 most played games on xbox, Forza Motorsport doesn’t appear on the list while Forza Horizon 5 is in the top 15.

That says a lot about how disastrous Forza Motorsport 2023 is, although lately seems like the developers have been listening to the community a bit and the game is pointing in a good direction, but it still needs a lot of work and change/remove things without sense.

The best simcade game on the market now… I play private leagues with at leats 20 cars on the grid, every single wednesday and Sundays, the best way to enjoy this game is participating in private leagues. There’s a ton of options to choose one… In public Lobbies sometimes we get full grids, usually in the first or second race, in the third it’s normal you get less pilots… But again, go to the private leagues that you’ll be enjoying this game a lot…

I was surprised how good the Nascar cars handle. I chose the Camry and it handles excellent! I had lots of fun with it.

I play singleplayer 98% of the time and can’t tell how full the lobbies are atm, but the 3 or 4 times I played the game against other players in MP it wasn’t empty, it was always 12+ players.

But all I need is a car and a racetrack, I don’t need other ppl to have fun.

I prefer shooters (Battlefield) if I want to play against others, there is no ramming there just shooting.

I also seen worse than this a year before than what we have now.

I have the feeling the game is very very very slowly is getting more popular.

I think they all handle the same. Fun to drive yes. But me personally I never liked the non working lights etc.

They’re not non-working lights. They’re stickers on a vinyl-wrapped metal shell.

Wellooo, that’s a dubious statement  Activity on Steam bottomed out after the release and little has changed in a year’s time. I don’t know how things are on consoles, but the PC version has been in terrible shape all year. Endless crashes, at the start of the race, at the finish of the race, when changing cars, etc. The last 2 updates maybe made the game at least stable and almost crash-free.
Everyone I know has left for other projects and I have no idea what the developers have to do to the game to get those people back. No progress in his career. No progress online. No driver stats. Nothing at all) Who are you going against in the race? What are their ratings? What country are they from? The game doesn’t give any information on any important aspect at all. Just races on tracks with with impersonal people or AI. Whether you win or lose makes no difference to the player. Even in a career you don’t have to win a championship to end up with an award car, many people just use autopilot and go about their business.)) It’s very funny. It’s unclear what audience this game is aimed at. For the average player - bad AI, graphics problems, terrible photo mode, etc. For a competitive player…oh…

Steam charts are literally a pointless argument when the game is on game pass and the Xbox store. Anyone who purchases the game via steam and plays that way is a huge minority. Steam users also have more competitors to choose to play compared to console players. All it really says is that less steam users that bought the game are playing and not much else

No racing games besides horizon appear because racing games are not as popular as they used to be. It has nothing to do with Motorsport itself or else you’d see need for speed or something in there

Funny how a post about the game being dead ignites so much life in the forum.

I am. But that doesn’t magically add more road courses to the game.

Its the only argument of any merit when it comes to speaking about quantitative player numbers as Xbox doesnt post numbers.

Its like saying elections arent relevant to deciding what the country wants because not everyone votes.
