The Forza Garage

The list is starting to look promising to me, except for the Formula E duplicates! So glad to see the '71 Plymouth GTX back and the '02 Trans Am + Daytona = late IROC racing series, can’t wait to see what next week’s list will look like

It’s nice that the Formula E car is included. Is FM6 going to have fuel/tyre wear? Is FM6 going to have pitstops where we have to change cars like it happens in real Formula E races? How about the street tracks used in the Formula E championship, are they going to be included?

I have not found the Ford Escort RS Cosworth, he will not be in Forza Motorsport 6 ???

Calm down, there’s plenty more cars to reveal.

Now, aren’t the individual cars technically each a little different from one another? I mean, I would still rather not have Formula E be taking up as much of the car list as it is, but the powertrains do differ here. The chassis are identical, but the innards aren’t entirely the same.

This week’s winners for me are the Fiat X1/9 and the AE86. While it’s pretty obvious that they’d both be in, I didn’t get FM5 so it’ll be my first shot at the little runabout.

Looking forward to next Wednesday!

Probably because 200+ cars haven’t been announced yet…

I was pretty excited when I read that FM6 was going to have more than 80 manufacturers, which meant anywhere between 13 to 20-something new and/or returning makes, so I’m wondering how all these Formula E cars are going to be classifed. Are they going to be separated by the powertrain manufacturer (ABT, Venturi, Andretti, etc.), or will they all still be categorized under Renault?

Other than that, not a lot of surprises that have me geeking out (yet), but I’m still keeping a running tally of all the cars I’m looking forward to driving* and for some reason seeing all these returning cars feels a lot more different to me than it did in FM5. Now instead of just thinking “huh, they’re bringing back this car from FM4, guess I’ll get to give it some new paint-job options and drive it around Spa,” I’ll be looking forward to how longtime favorites are going to handle at night, in the rain, how they’ll look being photographed in those conditions, what their context will be in “Stories of Motorsport,” and so on.

*The X1/9, '49 Merc, Lamborghini Jalpa, and Rebel Machine have me pretty psyched. That Fiat’s actually a lot of fun when it’s at the top of D-class.

Having 10 identical cars taking up 10 spaces in the car list is a pretty cheap move. But I am nonetheless hyped for Formula E!

List is decent so far not many brand new cars yet though hopefully so more will be revealed soon the one. Glad to see the Plymouth back and appreciating the fact that DLC cars from both Horizon and 5 are not being reused as filler DLC so far thank goodness. I do agree though ten individual Formula Es are pointless not just because of it taking up 10 slots but also trying to get them all I guess we really nneed that 25 mill CR form the start however this and the other racecar reveals shows that there is a stronger focus this time as they were very few racer in 5 i.e GT3

You’ve started this early, Turn 10? I had expected reveals to begin as late as mid-August!

V8 supercars is not a spec series…yet.

I’m not complaining, the earlier the better!

Can’t wait till the next Wednsdays! I sense some returning cars from Forza 4 and 5.

10 versions of the same car because of different team liveries? Really? Ugh.

As has already been said many many times, have the Formula E as one car with 10 paint options. And the same goes for the V8 Supercars and Indycars too, and any other spec series racing cars.

Doing it as 10 cars is like having 10 Mustangs in different colours as separate cars in the list. A different team livery of the same car should be the same as picking a colour on a road car. Sort it out.

Turn 10 should really have taken a page out of the Gran Turismo book and just made the Formula E liveries ten choices on one car, rather than ten separate vehicles, which feels a bit like padding to me. That being said, great to see Formula E back and represented even better in Forza 6.

Looking forward to Wednesdays from now on, can’t wait to see what else Turn 10 has in store for us in terms of cars and tracks.

GT6 also has separate cars for each livery, some of them even handle differently too (most notably some of the Audi R8s).

I doubt Turn 10 will change the feeling if the car based on the teams.

Having a full field of Formula E cars like this makes paving the way for those V8 Supercar and NASCAR rumours all the more pausable. =) Will be very interesting to see how this progresses.

Edit: Perhaps even IndyCars too! I know, I know, this is eating away at the car list like mad, but I really like seeing full, official representation like that.

Not a fan of the electric cars because, well,no sound!

Stoked to see the Rebel Machine back though!

The LaFerrari is only for FM5 VIPs? That’s not cool for a such an iconic car to make it exclusive
