The current choice of competition is a disaster

I am a high level player with 4999 elo (not top skilled). I play as part of a large discord community. And it’s not just my opinion. This is the week we don’t want to play. We have nothing to play. That’s our choice. 2 mono cars. A wildly unbalanced X class dominated by two cars with minimal differences. Effectively a third mono class. With a wildly arcade-like gameplay and an average lobby occupancy of 10 people. That leaves GT and Touring. We’ve been playing it for 2 months now. In fact you left 2 classes of cars in the multiplayer game. That’s wild. I don’t know what your marketing is thinking, but this is obvious stupidity. Online is CATASTROPHICALLY dropping. We want to be able to ride at NORMAL speeds and different cars. We would like to have permanent A/B classes. Where tuning makes sense. Where there are lots of different cars. Mono classes are breathtakingly stupid. If you want to make the game more cyber sporty - stop penalising for another person braking in front of your nose. Remove the penalty for hitting a player who backs onto the track or makes sudden manoeuvres. Reduce the amount of penalty for a lobby kick to 6 seconds from 12. Right now we are at 4999 with a safety level of S, winning 70%+ of lobbies infinitely. Playing with inept newbies. Dive bombing in literally EVERY race. You don’t penalise it. And literally forcing you to play touring/gt. And even there it’s imbalanced. 70% of touring players play audi. Leman has turned into a ferrari battle. When you started this car, you didn’t realise it would be like this?
Isn’t it obvious that this game is going downhill? Remove the obviously unnecessary mono-classes from the schedule.

It seems to me that if they’re rotating through a few things weekly there are inevitably going to be weeks where groups of people find all of the given options unappealing.

So I’d say the suggestion to have some permanent class-based options makes sense. (Indeed, it seems weird to me that such options wouldn’t already exist. The events on rotation should be specialized and there should be default “vanilla” kind of options.)

Touring lobby now. Its ok? 3 mins before race start

It feels like they made this to be a live service game but then dont want to have to pay people to look after it every week so just left a computer in charge. Every week we have automated changes to the permanent hoppers, alternating between short and medium lengths and the 5 random chosen tracks for a whole week.

The other spec hopper is just uninspired, there is a spotlight hopper running one car choice so why is the spec hopper doing the same? Why cant the non permanent spec hopper have more thought put into it like having V8 super cars or mitsubishi vs subaru or things like that.

Open classess personnaly I’m not bothered by currently because I just dont have the time to sink into levelling up cars. But if they dont have the numbers for all the hoppers to be permanent really they need to have at least 3 open lobbies. One could be alternating between E-D, another B-S and the other R-X.

Doesnt suprise me they made the gt hopper permanent, as it was always well populated on Forza 7. My problems with it are firstly I dont understand why we have to be limited to 5 tracks for a whole week. Secondly why does it only alternate between medium and short lengths, where are the longer races.

I dont think touring cars is too bad, it could probably use a slight rebalance, but trouble is alot of people just follow the crowd and pick the audi.

I agree with everything that has been said.

Infinite loading… Online died.

And then there are only 4 different Tracks in the rotation for GT Class :face_vomiting:

Very well put. Why have 50 track layouts but only 5 in rotation in the GT lobbies? Just exapnd the track list for all lobbies and add back at least some of the class based lobbies. More people would then play online, off-setting the risk of the playerbase being more thinly spread.

So let me see if i have this correct. I have just read that the public lobbies suck, and they won’t give us tire wear in private multiplayer, and won’t give us the ability to set lap count or tire wear in career, and ya can’t set tire wear in free play… Yeah sounds like a game changer that is putting the industry on notice!

I would really like it if they changes the open class to switch after maybe 3, 4 or 5 races or something like that to a different class… I don’t really like stuff above S and despise X Class. But if I knew it would change after a couple of races I would stick with it. Right know it just sucks.

The GT and Touring Cars stuff is ok but the races are just too short and the cars need a rebalance. You can use all the cars you want within the class but some are not competitive at all. At least when you are not super skilled. I don’t want to be forced to use a specific car to be competitive.

It looks like you’re replying to another thread.

Agree!

No, it’s the right thread. Your post just inspired me to see the big picture about this game; and to summarize all aspects of its greatness
