Thanks Turn 10 for drag racing hoppers! BUT...

Thank you Turn 10 for bringing in drag racing in multiplayer again! I’m definitely enjoying it!

However, I’ve got a few issues/suggestions.

  1. Rear Wheel Drive hopper: Forza 6 had a RWD only hopper for drag racing and I think that made drag racing more fun. That gave us more incentive to build rwd muscle cars capable of massive wheelies. Maybe I need to work on my tuning to compete with these maxed out awd cars, but I still feel a rwd only drag hopper would be appreciated by a lot of players.

  2. Improve the ability to test drive. I don’t need to explain how much better the test driving was in Forza 6. The ability to jump right into test driving from tuning was very convenient. Plus the lack of limitations was great. I would go to the airport and use it as both a skid pad and drag race test ground. It was very useful and easy to get on the runway and race up and down without limitation watching how my suspension geometry changed as the car squatted.

  3. A question I have is: Am I getting “unclean” laps because I’m doing wheelies or because my car is out of homologation? Either way, that should be changed.

Anyhow, like I said before, thank you! And I hope you continue to improve this game mode.

I agree that their should also be a RWD Hopper, RWD cars just can’t compete against their AWD tuned counterparts. Personally I always preferred the RWD races, just makes more sense, because TO ME that’s what real drag racing is about, nothing against those who enjoy taking their AWD car to the strip in real life, but I can’t recall the last time I saw them in professional competition. I’m sure they’re probably there somewhere, but I’m just old school I guess & it seems kinda wrong converting old hot rods to AWD just to be a little more competative.
Also, excluding that Plymouth GTX FF from competition might be a good idea too, so boring seeing multiples of them in EVERY Drag Lobby.

Oh & your dirty lap has nothing to do with Homologation. Don’t know what’s causing that.

I’ll have to experiment a little more regarding the dirty laps to see if it has anything to do with wheelies.

If we could give our cars the kind of torque, power, and enormous drag tires that real world dedicated drag cars have, awd would be useless :stuck_out_tongue:

Drag racing should be RWD only.
