I have had the same issue with forza horizon 3 on PC, it allows me to use the shifter to shift up and down when in sequential mode so it is acknowledging the input and I can assign functions to it, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to assign a gear, I press to assign and I put it in gear and nothing. Tried to find answers for the last game and I couldn’t, but if this same ‘problem’ is occurring again on the new game I must be missing something, I know you can’t use multiple USB inputs but the shifter is connected through the wheel so it is one input. PLEASE if anyone knows what I’m doing wrong or if there is anything I need to do please let me know because the game is pointless without the shifter. Thanks
In fh4 demo you can use multiple USB devices (unlike FH3 which does not accept multiple device inputs without 3rd party apps). However in order for Forza to recognise your TH8A property, you need to connect it as a separate usb device. If it is connected to wheelbase directly, you will get only sequential functionality. This is by design and it’s how it work on Windows. Keep in mind that when on Xbox ONE you NEED to connect the TH8A to wheelbase in order to get it to function. I know it is a bit confusing, but hope this clears things up.
